if you listen to the audio commentary for the movie they mention how there was a crapton of material they cut from the final film, they literally had several variations of pretty much all the songs they wrote and alternate scenes that were either too comedic or dark for what they were trying to accomplish (like Scar's original death). Most of the music they didn't use in the movie made it's way into Rhythm of the Pridelands and TLK Broadway, some of it was used for the second movie (He lives in you). This particular scene (minus Nala's banishment) made it into the broadway as the Madness of King Scar.

it was a great movie unto itself but yeah it's amazing all the effort and material that actually went into the movie considering that they were expecting it to fail and just decided to go nuts with it.

If you haven't, watch those others from the DVD, video or BD or even Laserdisc editions, there is so much in there that wasn't in the movie but sketched.

I think I've seen most, if not all of them, but then I only caught the ending of this clip when I first saw it so I could be wrong.

Never had a laserdisc-player and the dvd I own does not has such kind of contend... or I was all the years to stupid to find it hidden between all that annoying kiddo-scum-games-shit-extras. :/
