You have no right to complain about what an artist draws.

And that is true.
Now I am aware of the fact that I have made complaints in journals before, and I know that. BUT, I do not specifically comment on their journals or pictures.
Now yes, I get upset when an artist who draws a good mix of male, herm, and female stuff suddenly stops drawing male stuff. Yeah, that sucks, but I'm not going to attack them with a comment as long as my journals.
Complaining about stuff like that in journals without naming names is a good way to vent, and the same goes for other people. I mean if an artist you love suddenly does things you don't like then by all means complain, just don't attack them.
And you know why you have no right to complain about what an artist draws? Well you aren't paying them are you? You are on a free site and are able to look at these artists works without spending any money. And because of that the ARTIST has all freedom to draw whatever they want, even if that is the same cookie cutter thing over and over again.
Yeah, again I don't like when an artist does the same cookie cutter thing over and over again, but since I am not paying to see their art they can do what they please.
Now of course, if you are specifically purchacing a commission from an artist and they screw up on what you ask for then you have all right to complain. Now that money is involved it is more than just viewing a picture you can randomly find.
If the artist screws up certain details on what you ask for you have right to say something about it.
If the artist draws a TON of males and you ask for a female and they still draw it as a male then OH YES you have right to complain.
If you ask the artist to draw something different and they give you the same cookie cutter thing then again you have right to complain.
But only when money is involved do you actually have some rights to complain about what the artist delivers unto you.
But if you are just watching an artist that freely draws what THEY want then just step back and realize you are not the artist, they are the ones that decide what they want to draw.
And in all of this I know I am not alone in being attacked by people that either think they are better than you, or think they know better than you. I have indeed had comments as long as this journal attacking me for what I draw. Yes I know what I draw is repetitive, the facial expressions are the same and the proportions are the same. But you know what? That is what I want to draw. And isn't that what matters?
I am in no way looking for an art job, so being pushed into drawing EVERYTHING is not something I need nor want to do.
So yeah, all of this is of course opinions.

Just keep drawing what you like and what you're good at.
There's plenty of stuff that people make that I don't like, but it's THEIR stuff, not MINE.
And if I find it in my submission inbox I just skip it.
I don't go and post a comment about how ugly I find it.
As you say, it'd be rude and people will get fed up with you.
I mean he almost really negatively effected me.
Besides, I can see improvement from your earlier bit of works.
That is also why I keep the old stuff up.
dicksboobseverything that you drawI remember one guy wanting a REQUEST from me, and I had to say no, cause I don't have that much time to commit to something that would not give me any money, to which the response was: "PFFF if you would draw something for other people, then you would have a lot more friends!!!" ... which is a sentence that till this day makes me scratch my head.
And that request thing you said, that is the wrong way to make friends. Nice to know that guy lives in a shallow world.
It's only logical.

But I do agree with you on that.
