When you chat with them for about a year or so, and it was all worth for nothing.
You get accused of being a "Popufur" and how you don't give him enough attention.
Wanting to chat with those who has a high number in things and not himself (I'm sure you know what I mean)
I have deal with plenty of these butt hurts before. Those who are stuck up, Acting like a little kid etc. And I seen other people deal with them too.
Giving them a hard time and such, you try to be friends with them, but it turns out to be a waste of time as they be whining at you.
I remember one who said that all I think about is RP, I mean really?! I'm not a sex crazed fur-fag who does that everyday 24/7 and had one who was really into that stuff.
Once had one who was all sad, like all suicidal like and said that no one loves him. I tried to convince him otherwise, but he was stubborn and didn't listen. But he didn't really kill himself, pretty sure he was just a attention whore.
And of course there are those who add you to there messengers and barely chat or even hold up a conversation, or don't even talk at all. Also when you speak to them you get no reply, and they do be online.
Not sure what else to say, so that's about it. Now did I just do a rant? If so then that felt good! XD

True friends understand that and respect that. That's not a friend to do those things to you. I've had my share of those people. And sadly, I can put a name to each one you described that I've had to personally deal with.
The worst are the ones who want to rp off the bat. I tell them I'm not interested in that and that I have a mate I love and will never cheat on ... then I get those 3 words that piss me off the most ... "He'll never know" ...
At that point I block them completely. If they can't respect my personal preferences, then they aren't worth it.
To call you a Popufur? ... Sure, I've seen a fair bit of art of you without talking to you just yet, but I don't think you purposely ignored them. You may be well known, but as truth in the comments above this one, you have answered everyone who has commented so far. Being popular has nothing to do with not talking. You have a busy life away from the internet. It's as simple as that, and sometimes you just need a little time to yourself away from everyone.
Lately, I just don't wanna give a damn about people like that any more. I'm just gonna be who I am and just live on. don't care if I don't get liked by anyone :)
I had the same experience. And when I tried helping, he blocked me and threatened to ban me from FA, because he said I was "Stalking" him. :P
But oh well, I'll just leave him for himself, and get on with it. ^^
As a really sociable Skype person, I will respond to anyone that messages me, even when I'm busy. One message is all it needs and I am polite enough to respond that "I'm busy", etc. I understand how you feel about that, but I also understand that others can't respond because they're busy. However, if it goes on for months and months, then yeah they're fake friends.
As for the whole "popufur" gig, the more people you have, the less time you have for everyone. It can be stressful to have everyone wanting to chat with you. I like to be well-known one day, but I have a group of friends to keep me company. It's fun to chat with everyone, but always keep the loyal buds close to you.
Communication is always important, so others can understand.
I'm not sure if I can say I'm 'well-known' but I do tend to go around and poke people, and try to make new friends, but I do have those who always give me a good conversation.
And yes I agree, Communication is key!
Sadly its an aggravating situation, I've had to deal with these type of situations more times than I can remember. Good luck working through it and try not to let it bother you.
And don't worry I won't let it get under my skin, or should I say scales :P
because if it is. your popul in your own way and to your friends as well
