Heya Friends~! its Less than 48 hours from FWA~

and i am posting to let you guys know i will be there, and am looking forward to seeing
everyone

i was gonna do a lil gimmicky post making fun of "furry mannerisms"...
but to be honest in the spirit of " no Drama " (yeah right)
i decided not to do a tactless thing, i'll address these things that irk me
another time, and not before a con... but i will touch on it and say this:


Lets ALL do our part to make sure EVERYONE feels WELCOME and has a
good time!!
If someone has a heavy load (lol) offer to help them, hold open doors, etc

If someone is OBVIOUSLY wandering around alone and they have that look
on their face (not people who are looking like they are going somewhere)
just stop, smile and say hello, maybe ask them if this is their 1st con
or suggest an item from the schedule they might check out.

We don't want to pre-emptively assume anything about Anybody so
please DO NOT BE RUDE to people you don't know. if you've heard bad things
about someone, that you have not personally met, it would surprise you but
maybe the things said about them are WRONG. if you are not comfortable
enough with talking with someone you've heard rumors about, then maybe
instead of being rude or making a scene, just do your best to stay out
of their way... maybe they won't notice you or try to engage you.
and in the RARE circumstance you do find yourself engaged in a situation
with them, remember to ALWAYS BE POLITE. common manners like
"nice to meet you " " thank you " " have a good time " "if you'll excuse me
i must ________ "


And for the love of GOD do not refer to anyone as a " Creeper "
this is extremely Disrespectful and if you have words like this in your
vocabulary, you can write me off as a friend because i personally have
no time for people who pass such harsh judgement on people they don't know.

Again this is to Ensure EVERYONE ELSE has a good time (think of others before you think of yourself)
we do not want to alienate anyone in our furry family.

i know people are going to say this (as people are extremely predictable)
" you're saying i should put my gaurd down, and let myself be used ~! hell no!"

actually i'm not saying that at all, only you can make you do something you're not
comfortable with.

" you're saying we should ignore inappropriate behavior "

no i'm saying report it to con staff and allow them to resolve the issue.


Again to recap my post:

please please please BE NICE to everyone~!
Be Polite,
Help others in need,(as you can/are comfortable with/involve staff if it is beyond your means)
Do not be Rude
Do not talk shit about people (especially those you don't know)
Make sure everyone feels included
make sure everyone is having a good time.

The joy you feel from helping others is reward enough to do it.
lets all party and have a good time.
