Urgh. One of the reasons I hardly write anymore myself...well, hopefully things get a bit better for Three-it'd be nice to see them get a bit more credit!

I don't think that furries are any more dishonest than any other group. Unfortunately that's a pretty low bar, and because it's a superficially friendly fandom people tend to be too trusting.

I hope no one's assuming that this sort of thing is furry-specific. It's just the nature of the internet in general. There's always someone who's out to take unfair advantage of every situation they find, and thus everyone else has to be vigilant.

It's just a shame whenever someone, someone who's simply trying to create something artful, encounters this kind of untrustworthy element and then becomes soured by the whole experience. The only advice I can give for these situations is: If you're good, don't give up. (And if you're not good yet, don't give up on improving!)

I know this isn't specific to furry, but let's face it, this is a tiny fandom saturated with neurotics with little appreciation for authors whose initials are not KG. The Goldenlea was only given minimal press when it came out, and after this mess, we have to question the point of looking for readers within the fandom.
