Just thought you'd like to know, me and four other dragon friends of mine happened to mention you, how nice your art is, and how tasty a unicorn you are ;)
That's pretty much what i was thinking... it simultaneously reminds me of my insignificance as well as the grandeur of things when seen from far away :3
Reminds me of Mass Effect. Maybe one day we shall discover other life out in space. I really wish I was flying in space already. My inner nerd and space junkie demands it.
I don't normally have the patience for arty things, unless I'm in the mood. I can acknowledge that something is gorgeous, or moving and so on, but I wont sit through the whole thing..
Yet this time, the pictures of earth from orbit held me spellbound. Seeing all the city lights makes me thing we're getting closer to becoming an ecumenopolis than I think. And that's a bad thing. Yet at the same time, the planet can look very pretty.. Even as the larger and more frequent aurora indicates greater potential for radiation damage.
Although that whole, small insignificance thing? ... That's what I love about simultaneously studying cosmology, and quantum physics. The extreme scale it's all on is incredible.
