FWA
After about 13 hours on the road, I finally made it back home a little after 6AM this morning, and promptly passed out XD My first ever FWA was great, and I wanted to thank everyone who helped make it that way! I especially wanted to thank my good friend
GoldFox who convinced me to come and split the driving and room with me. It was about 7.5 hours from my place in PA to his in NC, and he drove the rest of the way to GA.
Now that I'm home, I really miss the 70 degree Atlanta temperatures. I'm looking out my window now as it's snowing. >.< I'm a warm weather fox. I've had enough of this cold stuff...
I spent most of the convention in Artist Alley. I didn't get a dealer's table because I didn't know I would be attending until just before the convention. Plus, I wanted to be able to walk around, enjoy the convention, and meet people without being chained to a table. I didn't get to many of the convention events, but I still had a blast! I do have to say though, WTF was up with those elevators? I've never seen a configuration like that where half the elevators went to only some of the floors, and the other half went to the rest. Having to go the whole way down to the lobby just to catch a different elevator so that I could go back up to someone else's room was silly. Otherwise though, it was great!
The best part of the convention for me was getting to meet my fans in person. I get SUCH a thrill when someone new recognizes me and gets excited about meeting me. It always means a lot to me on a deeply personal level when people take the time to compliment my work or even just say hi =) I got to meet a lot of fans and even some old friends at the convention for the first time, and you're all awesome!
I finished a few drawing commissions during the convention, which will will be posted once I have a chance to clean up the scans.
I'm so sorry the weekend had to end, and I miss everyone already. I don't know if I'll be able to attend next year, but I'll just have to see how things go. I will be at Anthrocon in a few months though, and I'm looking forward to seeing folks there!
