May I suggest you should offer a faster comic update for a set amount of donations some people might be interested in that and that way you could make some money off the work you put into that comic etc ((aka so you can work on it like a commission versus just a non payed thing)) Its something I've seen a lot of comic artist do and it seems to work

I think she mentioned once that if she lets people donate, they'll want their characters in it and use their donation to pressure her.

Simply putting up a rule that says that will not happen should stop people from saying it, if nothing else it will be there to point to. Also its not a bad idea to offer chances to be a background character in it but list it at a $50 donation it will make it a higher bracket discouraging a larger amount of people but allowing people who want it really bad to get it. I've seen plenty of artist do it just fine

It is a good idea, but I would feel super bad that people with money would be able to buy their way into the comic whereas those who dont have money get left out. found was always just meant as a personal pet project of mine and was never really intended to get this much of a following or anything so I think changing the goalposts 2/3rds of the way through the comic would kinda be like sticking two fingers up at certain fans. I guess I could make a basic donations pot for anyone who felt like giving me a tip for producing the comic but that any money thrown into it wouldnt actually give anyone any special treatment.

I have two other comics waiting in the sidelines for found to finish and maybe when I start doing those i'll adopt the pay per view idea. I dunno. Its an interesting idea to go away and contemplate, thankyoo

Sorry I didn't get to say anything sooner but I'm glad you moved in safely. Comics can wait as life come's first just don't chew on the board game, it tastes funny.

I have to admit, I love Found a lot and am always anxious for the next page - but moving takes a lot out of even growed ups, let alone little squirrels I understand that, and I think others should too - it's just being nice to let you relax a bit! So don't let those who can't keep their diapers from getting in a twist bother you, and come back to Found when you and only YOU are ready to.

after reading the journal and skimming the comments, I'd like to point out one of my friends (who shall remain nameless) is still working on the first commission I asked for from him. four years ago. and I was at a convention over thanksgiving, and bought something, then commissioned three more things from that same artist. I still have none of those commissions either. so if you're a friend, you'll keep quiet for the first year, and if you commissioned, keep quiet for six months. because life doesn't care about art. life says 'you need this NOWNOWNOW' and things get put on hold.

Most popular people get this kind of attention. You'd be surprised how much joshscorcher and rabbidluigi on YouTube get these kinds of messages (on an almost daily basis, no less). Take your time, Sammy, no rush, just get settled into your new home.

I know it's selfish... but... when you do get yourself settled and start working on Found again... Bogie sure would LOVE to make a little appearance... even just a tiny bit. I don't have any money to pay for it... and probably will never have. I'd just love to have a tiny opportunity to be seen in your lovely comic, Gem... pwetty pwease n' fankyoo.

Yeah I can understand that you are in a very busy and possible stressful position right now and really I am defiantly one patient guy and I really dont care how long it takes for found to come back so just keep doing what your doing and we will see it whenever it is back.

i'm in no rush. do what ever you need to.

here a little bit of advise that might help. Never let anyone rush you. when you rush it show in the work. so keep a cool head and finish it at your own pace.
