Sounds like you've been busy with those games.

I can't say I always liked the idea of trophies. One of the hard parts for me is enjoying what your trying to do. If it gets to repetitive or to hard, then it seems more like a chore. But if it's to easy then it sort of loses the point of even putting it in the game in the first place.

That's why I always play a game, go through it, beat it, and enjoy it, and THEN look back and see what I can do and unlock =o

I prefer my PS3 over my Xbox, but one thing that bugs me is that originally they said that PS3 trophies would be realized in PShome, but they never delivered on that.

I'm just wondering, since PS4 won't play PS3 games, if the trophies from PS3 will even carry over to PS4 =/

It might. They say that right now it wont, but they know its a big deal, so they are working on some kind of soft ware to do it that wont require expensive hardware like the PS3 BC versions did

i've given the new Tomb Raider a try, the trophies are actually fun to earn, but DAMN is it brutal when it comes to getting Lara killed D:

Some trophies are "Oh hell yeah, I can get that!"

While others "....you have GOT to be kidding..."

Then the time consuming ones XD

I need to get back to Silent Hill Downpour and HD collection... happen to have Portal 2? I still need the make 3 friends and Professor Portal, though I'm hoping to convince my friend to pick up the game to get that one and a couple others I'm missing...

I never gave it much thought about actually trying to earn them. I just randomly decided "DOING THIS NOW!!!" XD

Funnily enough, despite being a completionist, I very rarely care about Trophies or Achievements or the like. To unintentionally make myself sound like an old codger, back in MY day developers built that sort of thing into the game itself, and there was an actual in-game reward for it (see Spyro and Ratchet & Clank Skill Points)!

That, and most often I unlock this or that trophy without even trying. The ones I don't get naturally are either really grindy, or else involve the multiplayer components of the game that I never use (here's looking at you, every Assassin's Creed game).

I never cared either, but it gives me a reason to go back and play games I already beat! :3

I already have a reason for that. It's called "because they were fun". Also "I am putting off things I should actually be doing". But mostly fun.
