The furry fandom? Not gonna lie, it was Pokemon porn.
I saw a bunch of Pokemon pictures on DA that had "alternate versions" on FA, and I got a FA account so I could view them, and so I could draw and post porn. Because I was 18 god dammit, I was old enough to put my sexy drawings on the internet. :U

What got me started in the fandom was Star Fox yaoi, Pokemon, some guy on the RPG Maker Pavilion Forums (who does Let's Play's on YouTube as his fursona), and finally, Casey LaLonde/Corbin Busker.
