Image type and characters - Type A color digital mini comic showing a Tauren being eaten by a dragon.
Why this image was chosen - It took me a while to get permissions to feature this upload but its worth the wait because of the quality of the work. From the beginning I knew this was going to be a good piece when I saw the thumbnail because of how effectively the cold colors have been used. I also have to point out the clever way in which parts oft he dragon were used as panel borders. Have a look at the way the dragon's front leg overflows into panel 2 from 1. Or how about the way the wings overflow and obscure part oft he panel boundary at the bottom, its a good technique that I personally like to see.
Let us review each panel. (Panel 1) - The Tauren is being slurped into the hungry dragon's mouth - For me the dragon's long neck stands out in this panel, the look of the Tauren also warrants a mention as the artist has rendered the character quite well. (Panel 2) - One of the best panels in the comic because the Tauren looks so good! The expression on the face almost says "Damn! you got me!" as the draggy's long tongue helps direct him into the throat now climbing up his body, sweet panel! (Panel 3) - Tauren's last gasp as the dragon's neck bulges nicely under the chin. (Panel 4) - For me this is the best panel in the comic, the neck bulge is epic, the shape and the length of it as well as the way the dragon's head is tilted so far up. The little bit of drool seen near the dragon's mouth is a good extra detail. (Panel 5) - A nicely drawn and colored full body shot of a satisfied dragon, wings look pretty good as does the belly bulge. ( Inset ) - The last image in this comic shows the Tauren inside the dragon, I like the darkened warmer colors and the way the prey looks like they might be trying to push their way out again.
A very good piece of work VVITch and thanks to Firondraak for sharing this image with the group, also thanks to Solusar for looking so tasty! I enjoyed this comic, and because it turned out so well I'm +favoriting it into the group's hall of fame.

Agreed, thanks for another great review, these reviews are a fun and easy read and add to the enjoyment of each selection you share.

Thanks spottycat! I try not to get too big worded and stay as layman as possible when I explain the reasons why I like any featured artwork that shows up on this group. In my other account I like to add short stories to some of the artwork I post because it adds a little extra something to the posted image much the same way as these reviews can add an extra little bit extra to the featured pictures.
