Regarding people posting my work on other sites...

            (TL;DR BELOW)
It's been recently brought to my attention on here that certain people have been posting my work on other sites as though it were their own.
First off, I'm not going to do a witch hunt and start pointing names out (unless they turn out to be assholes about this). The reality of the situation is this: This is the internet and I can't control the actions of others. Hell, I'd probably have more luck getting Lindsay Lohan into rehab without her precious (AKA pills). People repost some of our work on boards all the time so there's nothing you can do outside of never drawing again. That, however, is giving control to people you don't know and only hurts you and the people who enjoy what you make.
HOWEVER...
There's a fine line between reposting someone's work and citing a source, and that of claiming that work as your own. Doing the latter not only undermines the artist (especially when you do a shitty re-edit of it like you're trying to be clever) but it misleads people who would be interested into a "dead end". At least when someone posts something of mine with credit back to me I'm flattered! But when you go around claiming my work as your own I feel like a 2 dollar whore (at least a 3 dollar whore will pretend to care). And besides, let's face it, when you repost someone's work they're bound to find out anyways.
So to simplify this, here is what happens when you post a proper source:
1. Cite source
2. Artist gets more traffic
3. Artist feels loved
4. Artist makes more art
And so it revolves back again, as the circle of life. :D
Except without Mufasa dying a horrifying, crippling death... :C ***NO SPOILER ALERT BECAUSE THIS MOVIE IS DAMN NEAR 20 YEARS OLD WHY HAVEN'T YOU SEEN IT YET AND I FEEL OLD JUST THINKING ABOUT IT***
So, to conclude, cite your sources. Some of us want to give credit where it's due... so they can make more smut (**coughJiraiyacough**).

TL;DR CITE YOUR SOURCE IF YOU'RE GOING TO REPOST.
