So, I bit the bullet

Early yesterday morning I bought Guitar Pro 6.
Several reasons:
1) The price. Full Version of the base software, six soundbanks, DVD and printed manual mailed to me, all for $85. Yeah, even less than I thought. The soundbanks, because I bought them at the same time as I bought the main software were cut in price AGAIN!
2) Chords and strumming. All I had to do was select an instrument for a track, select a chord, and several different fingerings were presented to me. I did not have to build my own chords, which I had to in other programs. And strumming? Ctrl-D and Ctrl-U. Other programs had me creating them myself or using a special tool which while flexible, were not all that easy to use.
3) And it does have strings, and brass, and woodwinds, as well as banjo and ukulele.
Took a while to download, but not much time at all to set up. They had video tutorials available, which I will spend time viewing, eventually.
I decided to dive right in, and see what I could do....and what I could do was a LOT!!

I think I am going to like this program. :D
