And again Bachri has to tell something to all of you! xD
For the sake of the foreseeable future of this little interactive story, I'm going to make a few things known right now. It is possible for Ana to "die" and for a Game Over to happen, but I'm not crazy enough to just end the whole thing out of the blue as my April Fools joke may have implied. In the event of a Game Over, I will immediately give the choice of either rewinding to a previous set of options, or simply restarting from the beginning. Likewise, this story WILL have an ending at some point, but that doesn't mean I'll stop doing this. Once the plot is over, the story will be forcibly reset and we can choose a new story world and settings
Romance is an option in this story, and Phio is not the only romance option- nor is gender the only restriction. Get Respect up high enough and romance options will open up. Having a strong relatioship reveals some very fun activities ;3
Because of all of these complexities, I *MAY* have to start thinking about new methods to writing these story pieces. One of my current ideas to tackling this is stopping these very large wall-o-text segments and making much smaller segments with a "main objective" and little side pieces that allow control over what Anamaki does while trying to achieve this. In other words:
First vote: "Ana aim for option B"
Second vote: "Ana does this with Dorze to get to B"
Third vote: "Ana fights this enemy on the way to B"
Fourth vote: "Ana gets to option B, begin voting for next option"
Option B being one of the major things that we've been voting for this entire time and accomplishing in a single part. This method allows more parts to be submitted and added in faster, and gives more choices in what happens during the story, but it could make it very difficult to get everybody's opinions on what should be done for one segment or just make advancement in the story painfully slow. If this should be implemented, say so in the comments. If not, don't say anything XD)
TL;DR New stuff!
Part 28
You remember that Dorza and Dorze said something about going to a small tavern near the Main Gate when they were done with their work, which was most likely finished by now. Not really having any other leads on where Phiodel might be at the moment, you decide to try there, hoping to either find him with them or ask where he might have gone. You didn't rush through the streets or hurry over, you simply take your time, feeling that having a few answers to all of these strange events to be... calming. For the first time in two days, you actually felt like you had a moment to yourself, and you enjoyed it, letting your attention wander for a little bit at the sights and sounds of the village and the surrounding jungle.
(Attention: -10)
Eventually, however, you had to snap out of it, which you did once you found yourself in front of the correct tavern. You step through the colorfully-decorated doorway, finding a locale that seemed much more lively and vibrant than the pub you had walked into yesterday. Patrons of all ages enjoyed themselves among banners and ribbons and rainbow-tinted torches- all of which were synonymous with the Gate community of decor-loving folk- adorned every wall and corner of the fancy venue. As much as you want to enjoy yourself, you know that you shouldn't spend ALL day just looking around at stuff. With that in mind, you spot the tiger twins over at the bar counter, getting quite the fill of beverages and likely getting pretty drunk. You make your way over, immediately being greeted once they spotted you.
"Hey Anamaki! What's up?"
That was definitely the more feminine voice of Dorze greeting you. You wave to them as you sit down next to her brother, who promptly offered you a drink of his otherwise untouched glass of wine. Despite feeling a bit thirsty, you decline.
"Have either of you seen Phiodel around?"
"Uh, yeah. He was here with us for a little while, 'til he spilled somethin' on his lap and the floor. It musta' been Darkwater by the smell, really reeked up the place for a bit."
The male tiger who answered looked to be in thought for a moment.
"Huh... now that I think about it, I don't think I saw a glass anywhere near him... How strange."
And just like that, his attention was turned back to his wine. To you, though, that did indeed sound very strange. Still, at least you remembered where the lion lived. You wished them both well before heading back out to the street and making your way to Phiodel's clay hut. Lacking a door to knock, you merely stood right in front of the hanging grass that barely divided the in and out sides of the wall, and called his name before walking through. As expected, there was no one in the main room, so you expected that he might have been elsewhere. Due to the budding, silent practices of privacy among your people, however, it was often considered inappropriate to go any further than the first doorway in any house without the house owner's permission. Thankfully, Phio's presence was proven when he poked his head through the dividers leading to the bathing room.
"Uh, hi, Ana... I'll be out soon."
He disappeared again, leaving you to look around the mostly-empty room. You were glad that he didn't take too long, as you simply had nothing to do but twiddle your thumbs in impatience.
"So, what can I do for you?"
You didn't waste time, despite taking a mental note of his unusual attitude.
"I need some help figuring something out. You know the fire attack I did last night?"
He looks at you suspiciously for a moment, obviously remembering it very clearly.
"... Yeah... I remember, and it looked like the kind of thing those Canid's were doing earlier. What about it?"
"Well, I can only remember doing that after drinking something in particular. Fyre Mead. Once I drank a glass of that, I started making fire come out of my hands."
"Fyre Mead? You mean that spiced drink some of the cheaper pubs serve?"
"Yeah, thats the stuff. I think something in that mead... triggered it somehow. I kinda want to know what was put into it."
"If you want to know the ingredients, just ask the Council. They're required to do checks with the Alchemists that make complex food and drink that Merchants and Bartenders sell."
"Ah, well... I don't really want to do that... I'm not too sure that I trust them right now, and I'm concerned about what they might do if they know I can create fire."
The lion sighed and rubbed his temples for a moment, starting to show a return to the same attitude that he'd had last night. You weren't sure that this was a good thing...
"You do remember that your parents are on the Council, right? You don't trust them?"
"It's not really that, it's just that they aren't the only members. If they all found out, any decisions they make together can easily override my mom and dad."
"Alright, alright... then I guess the only way is to ask the Alchemist that makes Fyre Mead. As it happens, I think I know who that is."

As such, I'm tagging along with this line of votes.
Even though there are some pretty straightforward choices, I think anytime we've combined circumstances in such a creative manner it made things more interesting. :3
