Wreck-It " Ralph "

Fraggle Droppings.
I saw " Wreck-It Ralph " finally. It was good, formulaic as heck, but good. CG movies anymore are written like ... strict poetry or something now. The same-feeling things happen at the same time but with different characters. " Wreck-It Ralph " also was one of those movies that is somewhat mislead by the trailer. I kept thinking that his time in the candy race-track game was gonna be a short sidetrack just to meet Glitch but that was pretty much the beef o' the movie.
What really surprises me ( well... not really ), is the the fanart for Turbo. The guy was maybe on screen for 5IVE SECONDS! I guess the bad guys just have that allure that horny girls crave. He reminds me of my recent " Masters of the Universe " Dragstor doodle I did the other week. The way people draw him though, I thought he was actually... IN the movie.
I really liked Q-Bert with his Star Wars-alien lingo. " Coily " was neat too. I'm glad they found work in the end cuz I felt bad for them. Anyone remember the old 1980s arcade cartoons on Saturday mornings? " Supercade " or something. They made Q-Bert some weird Fonzie character. I'm glad I was born in 1974. Kids these days... boy I'll tell ya. I don't think texting while driving & anti-bullying campaigns & Facebook would be enough to keep me interested in life. I need toys & cartoons g'dammit!
I was also glad to see the 2 Digdug baddies... even if they didn't " do " anything.

But overall, it is a good movie and I will watch it again. > . >
Also; Ralph's huge body and giant hands = <3
I clearly remember the "Frogger" cartoon where he would constantly be flattened by something and then inflated back to normal with a tire pump, Between that and the insanity that was "Turbo Teen" on ABC, no wonder I like odd TF fetishes!
Here's the intro to the 1984 second season: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cMPxeS0VMGs
I remember them & I recently found out Pac-Man by H-B Season 1 & 2 is on DVD!
And I do remember the Q-bert cartoon....strange and sort of forgettable as it was. I also remember the Pac Man cartoon, which was rather goofy. But then how much of a story could one give to Pac Man?
Turbo made people (some) believe him as King Candy, thanks to a really good job by the CG team and voice actor both, really selling his skill at deceptive villainy and gaining him some well deserved fans. As far as Disney villains go, Turbo is definitely an upper tier.
I like psychologically complex characters, most of them had that aspects but if you look deep enough Turbo and his other counterpart is a pretty fun one to dissect. Although I don't see why people love him as a person or have sympathy for him, he's a horrible person...But I love diving into his psychology.
