My Hard Disc got a virus and DELETED

Its a LG Hard Disc of 500 Gb I have for all the extra data and security data-copy
The thing is that I plugged in and all of the suden Avast detects 9 virus (some of them Troyan)
I go to - My Pc - and when I open my Hard Disc it shows completely BLANK, as if there was NO folder!
I had ALL MY LIFE in it!
al important data, personal stuff, all my music, videos, set ups, videogames, books, comics, movies, D&D books, a Novel I've been writing for years and ALL my art and pics!!
I've lost everithing!!
It still shows as if there is data inside....but it doesnt show and I cant acces that info...so is like I've lost everiting....
