A little help, please?

Hello fellow FA Artists, Friends and Fans.
Sorry for not responding these past few weeks. Life for me has gotten kind of hectic, and I've had quite a few misfortunate incidents cross my path and made things shall we say, ..."Interesting."
The worst of which was getting a temp job at the very end of March that seemed really "Sweet." It was a "Midnight" shift in Alameda that started at 8:00 PM and went on until 4:00 AM. The job was order picking and packing for a warehouse that distributed contect lenses and supplies for Northern California, and it was apparent the place had a great crew and held events like poster contests and competitions among the staff and managers such as raising pennies towards a Karioke contest for the managers, and drawings for Giant's baseball tickets. I liked the crew I worked with, and we seemed to get along. I would go home sore the two nights I worked though, so I was very upset to get the word on Monday morning that I was "Dismissed" from the assignment for being "Too Slow" and not picking up the proceedures fast enough. This really sent me into an emotional tail spin, as my hopes and dreams were dashed, and I realized that I was once again stuck in the cycle of "Famine-Feast-Famine" of a Temp worker.
Some "April Fool's" joke, eh? Too bad I ain't laughing.
Now on the plus side, some very generous friends helped me out by loaning me funds to get though the month of March, and one of my "Editors" sent me a Laptop to help me out until I can get my balky PC repaired. The little laptop turns out to be an excellent machine for my needs, and I believe if properly programmed and set up, I might be able to turn it into a secondary "Art Machine" when I add the scanner, printer, and Photoshop programs into it.
Unfortunately, I prepared my Tax forms last Sunday, and I discovered that I need to raise at least $300.00 to pay my federal taxes. So I'm offering most of my artwork posted here on my FA page for sale, plus I've got some prints, and a few "Millie" and "Zhane" portfolios left over from AC 2010. If anyone is interested in buying some of my art or helping me out, please note me and we'll discuss "Business."
As for Commissions, please let me know if I need to get back to you on the assingments you requested. I know I've got drawings dating back to 2011 still in the works, but I need to set up some sort of way to find out who's paid, and who's art I need to work on. I cannot promise taking on new commissions right now, but things are open for discussion.
Oh... And by the way, the Turbine Powered paddle wheel ship idea has been "Scuttled."
Peace be with you, and thank you all for your help and support.

(unless you have something you want added to my silly tales (I do the ones I like for free! )
upside is getting things done that I never had the time for while working.
Unemployment sucks
I still wait on this pic from you

I was also fired from a temp job for working too slowly, doing work that I had never done before (and which wasn't even remotely in the job description). The worst thing is that I received not the slightest indication that I wasn't doing a good job for them; I was told over the phone by the temp agency.
I think I still have a commission in the waiting from you; I'd be more than happy to put in an advance.
In regards to the job troubles you've had, I can relate to your situation. I was never once warned that I wasn't working fast enough, nor even given encouragement to pick up the pace. On Easter night the production supervisor went into his upstairs office and disappeared all night. We stuck to our tasks and finished the assigned jobs through teamwork. Since I was busy buildng the trucks and moving them down the floor to where the pullers coul get them, I figure I wasn't entering as much data as they'd prefer. The whole thing stinks of "Busy Work" to me.
At least where I work now, the emphasis is on getting it right rather than half-assing things to get them out the door as fast as possible.
Dominus tecum
Thanks.
Hope you do well Steam....

Thanks for the encouraging words. I'll keep you posted on if things improve.
I know how that is, got laid off three times last decade.
Got $25 if I knew your paypal. Hope it'll help.
Please let me know if you want payment in advance for the commission.
Kagur
My commission is 5% by the way.
Also if you do temp work you will often get the most thankless and shitty jobs around. Look for employment on your own terms and preferences. It is hard work physically but mostly mentally. It can be very stressful and you will have little to show for your efforts in hoop and hurdle jumping but in the end it is worth it. I've been there and done it and I got a pretty good, fun, job and nice co-workers out of it.
I appreciate your words of encouragement.
I'm am surprised that you didn't get a warning first. There is a employment MEME going around that people are effectively serfs and that we pay low wages, treat you like cr*p and should be thankful that we even tolerated you being here. It is due to high unemployment and large pool of cheap available workers. Supply and demand.
You're expected to just to KNOW how to do your job, without training or experience on the job, if not you're a slacker.

Perhaps one of these "Zhane" portfolios? I love your art. Please note me details of purchasing any? Thank you.
