I wanted to make a character with a boxing gimmick and decided pretty early on she'd be an all white canine of some sort, it just grew from that, with the usual changes over time.

Depends on the character, for Wynter its the goofy sort of violence, nipplefuck or ballbusting for Yai... still, any time I see a submission from someone else that features nipplefuckery I'm excited, so it's probably that.

as for perils, Kaijumi is the one who seems to land in the most perilous of all, that or Yaita, but Yaita is invulnerable wheras Kai isn't so much :x

What made you move from Yaita to Wyntersun?

It was a new start in pretty much every sense, personally and art wise, at the time I got a new job, sorted all my debts out and got a new place to live, art wise, it was the time I really started looking at how to improve my work instead of sticking to what I knew, I'd say my anatomy and attention to detail has improved a lot since then, colouring to a lesser degree.
