Johnathan Winters was one of those guys who were everywhere. I liked him on a few Disney Hour episodes. The halloween one, I think. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hallow.....l_o'_Fame
Forget all those garbage rom-coms movies we have now- we lost a real comedian.
I remember watching him in two movies( its a mad mad mad mad world{1960's} and the flintstones{1994}) and one cartoon {the new scooby doo movies (1970's) may he rest in peace
One of my absolute favorite people. A conduit through which I could communicate with my father, sharing a mutual affection for the man's work. He will be missed.
Love him or hate him, you have to admit he's probably the most influential comedian of the last 90 years, if not longer. Robin Williams and Jim 'Rubber Face' Carrey are his two best-known students, but he's influenced many more. He will be missed.
I know it wasn't very widely known, and certainly looked down upon by purists of the original uncut film, but I'll always remember him from my childhood as the mumbling, grumbling voice of "The Thief" from the Miramax version of The Thief and The Cobbler. =) His role was certainly the greatest highlight of that version of the film. Also, Its A Mad Mad Mad Mad World, CLASSIC.
RIP funny man you inspired so many of the comedians of my own generation =)
