What do you have to do to earn it?

I can be as nice as the next guy and I'll still get kicked down.

smart, funny, knowledgeable . . . doesn't give me respect.

I'm always "kept in my place" as it were, and that's why I'm a rebellious jerk even today.

People I trust will befriend people who have proven to be assholes and I'd get the blame for calling it out.

It just feels lonely and frustrating, and maybe I'm not explaining it right *shrugs*

Anyway, done bitching, and I'll probably take this down in a couple days or whatever, just needed to vent and make it feel known.
