Salunraes are a CLOSED Species created by me and

Salunraes (Say-Loon-Rays With emphasis on Say and Ray rather then Loon )
The Salunraes are a mythical species. They are often very shy and tend to hide from mortal sight, however they are also a very curious species. What makes them so curious, as well as a defining trait that marks them as what they are, is their abilities to see the bonding Auras that link mortals together. Each of us are tethered to our friends, family and enemies by strings of glowing light which changes colors depending on each mortals feelings towards each other. These bonds are only seen be the Salunraes can. The Salunraes live off of mortal Aura's drawing in small portions of a mortals Aura in a moment of time into their jewel where the energy is pushed to flow through their bodies. They may also eat mortal foods but in order to keep themselves healthy they must feed from a mortals Aura regularly. (Each Aura depending on the mortals feelings at the time will have different taste... bliss and happiness will have a sweet taste while anger and hate would have a bitter taste and so forth)
Both Males and females, Feral and Anthro forms, have their own bonds of light connecting their ears loosely which change color according to their feelings at the time. Also both have jewels formed in the hallow of their throats, the jewels as well as their eyes reflect their current thought and feelings (It is possible for their eyes to be of different colors.) It is Possible, though VERY RARE to find a Salunrae who has no color in their eyes, these are often called Blind Ones, and sadly are cast out from their kind sent to wonder the world lost in search of their own bonds.. Becoming a Blind One is only possible if the Salunrae goes through a terrible loss and are filled with only numbness and thus lose their abilities to feel and feed off of mortals Auras and will become weak and die. However.. there is still a chance for them to find a happiness within themselves and become normal once more.
Males are larger then females but both have slender builds. Both have horns however while males have deer like antlers females have shorter goat like horns. Their fur can come in a variety of colors and patterns it is common for them to have neon like colors.
In Feral form they are about the size of Clouded Leopards.
Height: 10-16 inches at shoulders.
Length: 2-3 feet (tail also measure at 2-3 feet).
Weight: 35-50 lbs (males); females significantly smaller.
Important NOTE! : The species eyes, jewels and light bond colors change with their mood, however their colors are specific to each individual. One Salunrae's eyes may change to the color red when angry but another Salunrae my have green eyes when angry.
Apart from their abilities to see Auras and Bonds the Saelunraes have the ability to teleport short distances. At max they can teleport around 50 feet. When they go to teleport their wings will twitch and flutter a second before they vanish and reappear, it takes much practicing before young Saelunraes master this skill.
While young Saelunraes do no venture away from their family villages, instead older Saelunraes gather extra energy in their jewels and feed it to the young ones when they return to the villages.
Saelunraes live in small villages in secret places, they usually live deep in dense forests or jungles staying hidden from mortals. They usually eat fruits but they do hunt on occasion.
Saelunraes are wonderful creatures. They are curious about all the bonds and auras that a mortal can possess. They see all the energies that connect each and every one of us to everyone else in the world. If you happen to glimpse one… don’t frighten them… they are curious but they are very cautious as well. Simply enjoy the sight and remember that no matter how bad things may seem, there ARE souls out there who would just LOVE to see you smile.
