Next-Gen Console$!...and Games TLDR

Can't fork up over 300+ bucks for either or. barely anyone will be able to afford them. I'll watch on the sidelines along with walkthrough vids on youtube lol.
I really can't tell what I'd go with. At this rate i'd go with the PS4 if i had to choose. Why, Spikes? You never owned a Sony system before and you hate shapes compared to the ABXY layoutSHUTUP STOP REVEALING MY SECRETS. Well, they have already shown the basis of their graphics with several engines, some titles new and recurring to be with those engines, several expectations, and it's probably had a release date or an expected time with a good prediction. They had a good headstart, and pacing themselves well. Plus, a dragon's up in there. That's a plus. ..just sayin'.
But the Durango/whatever xbox is doing, no one knows. I'm actually curious. They had so many rumors going on with a small sliver of official information. There could be backwards compatibility. I don't know, so i guess we all have to wait. Someone should bring up Adam Orth during the live conference as well. Or he should hold it. Dunno why he snapped to a simple question that could've saved a lot of money and stress on Microsoft's part to fix connection issues and the "what if" cases to their possible DRM concept/rumor.
But, um, I think i am slightly leaning towards PC games even though i rarely touch them. Cus theyre affordable, and have better appeal in some aspects. I'm not a fagnboy of whatever console, that's how i really started - this system has more bloody or whatever genre games than the other, im going to get it. This system looks cool and all with its specs and abilities (3DS and WiiU) but nothing cool will come soon, ANYTIME SOON...for that system.
Maybe gaming has hit its limit. The appeal and titles have been good I guess but some titles have been struggling with the excuse of XYZ leaving But I can't get on their case as much as I'd get on the Gamer's case of being anal and asking for too much and the game not being up to their expectations, later on ...somewhere in here.
Some companies really need to get their shit together. Most issues i have heard about dealt with the online experience rather than the offline experience excluding the minor critique of the pros and cons of any game you could play. The whole "online transactions" and certain DLC content is tolerable, you're not being forced to pay for it and it's not really essential in the game, it's extra material to make the experience better or more enjoyable. Personally, if it looks nice, and it's affordable, being worth it's money, I'd get it. Certain skins are sweet and extra guns or weapons are nice to try out, and expansions/side stories give more in-depth situations to understand about that character or area. Dead Space's Awakened isI'm so trying to not think of it as Mass Effect 3's ruined climax was extra content, or an epilogue. It wasn't the True Ending and if there was an extra film or comic to bring the series to a conclusion, it WILL INCLUDE WHAT HAPPENED AFTER THE ENDING OF 3. THEREFORE, AWAKENED WON'T BE NECESSARY TO GET TO UNDERSTAND WHAT HAPPENED.
Sonic DLC like new levels and characters? Yes, that can be looked at as fair content, because its something new to the table along with new level designs that could show improvement.
Metal Gear Rising DLC as the other characters? Hell yeah, thats also new content to expand how to play the game along with backstory. Same with Mortal Kombat 2011 and other titles. There's many things DLC could introduce.
I guess some consumers are just too picky. Many want this or that, and complain and hammer on the company since it was not focused on in the game. God forbid if it's an old character in a different universe cus the 'fans' would trip balls. I would try DmC, and I will. It looked interesting. I would try Sonic 06. And I did. badchoiceI WOULD TRY OTHER TITLES IN DIFFERENT UNIVERSES.. and i would not JUDGE...because its something NEW and possibly visually appealing. And I would actually try Pokemon XY, the only up to date Pokemon game that looked appealing to me since Platinum. I don't even want to rant about that because the whole "GENWUNNERS" label will be slapped on me. But hey, gonna argue about why i find one generation's concepts and visual design better than another overall as insulting, be my guest. I'll even bring the dildo to have you fuck yourself. SORRY That my opinion and likings arent like yours!

Don't get me wrong, I like my purchase, but that was an absurd amount of money for hardware that only lasts for a year or two. Since PCs are always evolving, consoles quickly become outdated. This time I'll only be buying a PS4 if it's $400 or less and it has some good exclusives.
Sony's been smart about building excitiement and preparing the PS4 launch so far. I have no idea what Microsoft's doing with the new Xbox. They made a point to confirm the device is in production, but haven't really said much else since. Sony outright announced the PS4 along with some games seemingly in order to take advantage of that silence.
Coupled with Microsoft's announcement of the new Xbox being "always online", the news of its development focusing on media and social networking have raised doubt amongst gamers. Sony pointed out the PS4 will focuse on games first and foremost.
To be honest, though...I feel both consoles will have to change some things down the road. The way companies handle DLC would be a big one. We're hearing more and more backlash from consumers about tacked on DLC that's overpriced for what you recieve. (Not to mention the advent of on-disc DLC.) The social media/networking side of things might also become a bit overbearing later on, but we'll see how that goes. I personally hate social networking of any kind.
As an end note, reboots are fine as long as the developers decide what they wanna do and stick with it. I'm kinda peeved about all this half reboot half sequel/prequel trend. It's like they aren't confident on their ability to reimagine an existing franchise, so they back off at the last minute to make sure the fans will buy the new title.
P.S. Pokemon X & Y look amazing. First Pokemon games I'm interested in since Pokemon Gold.
Plus the concept of windows 8 on the Durango whatever, theyre basically transforming the xbox console to a damn computer at this point. with charged internet access that youre already paying for, lol. Both consoles will have their pros and cons, so on so forth, etc. If some are still goign to be on the old consoles, then whats the point of shelling out a shitload of money for a Higher HQ version, lol. I remember back in the day, characters were unlockable through gameplay, now i have to use money! Nothings unlockable or cheatable anymore lol
