How Weird Festival in San Francisco
I will say I really enjoyed myself. This was the second sunday in a row that I suited at an outdoor festival in San Francisco, (last Sunday was at the Cherry Blossom Festival). I got many hugs and lots of people petting me I will say everyone was pretty nice about asking if they could touch my fur, well except when they grabbed my ass a few times -_- haha. Only thing I wish was that when people hug me that they let me know because I got many hugs where by snout was pulled down and the foam on the inside of my head began to rip T_T. I can fix it but I won't have this problem when I get my new head in a few months (because my head will actually fit me a lot better). I got to meet some new furs and everyone was really nice. I even met some that live in the city where I use to live (which is a pretty conservative area) so I was kinda surprised. I know I made a lot of kids day by hugging them and dancing with them. This is one reason why I love to suit up, I just love seeing the smiles I get. And of corse I laughed when I was waiting in line and this one guy asked me the famous question, "Do you have sex in that?" I laughed and said no I don't. I am looking forward to doing this more over the next few months and I am very happy that all my raver friends were super excited to see me in my suit and give me hugs. I love the rave community in my area because so many people are so accepting. I even ran into my step brother and his friends and he was all "Ya that's my older sister," with a giant smile on his face after giving me a hug. Hope you all had a great weekend too, and know that if you are ever in San Francisco you will get many hugs and pets at the festivals here.

So much fun!!! Yeah, it reallly helps to be in a group, or even better, have a super responsive and capable handler. I did some of these fairs last year (it's the season)... loved it, but it comes with some risk. Drunk people are the thing you have to watch out for the most. It helps so much to have a handler step in, take their drinks, and offer to take the photos as a friendly thing to pacify them. Drunk people can spill on you, fall over and take you to the ground, or jump on you and break things. The very worst is drunk people who get physically aggressive. A handler who acts more like a bouncer and can get in between you and use ninja skills to block them would be best for that situation, but that's a lot to ask for and I've found most people aren't assertive enough. The next best thing is being with a group.

OP
I was very lucky to have 2 handlers, one in front and one in back. My boyfriend told me while we were barting back that a lot of people tried to tackle me but he stopped them. After explaining to them on why to hug me in front they understood and did so. But I didn't know he was actually doing this. I can't see or hear in back of me very well with my head on so the thought of this scares me :-/

lol, yeah dan seems to be a pretty natural handler.. it was a bit more difficult in that really crowded area though. i think my suit weirded out a few people and kids because of the realism, which is part of the reason i "softened" it by adding the wig.

This is one reason a lot of characters have big spikes on their back!

I loved getting to see you and Thanos again ^_^ You all are ever amazing I had to pull a girl off Meerk at one point because she wouldn't let go ... like at all. Vert is a much better spotter than I. I'm far too distractable and trying to get in all the pictures myself *laughs* See you soon!
