Going Navy
12 years ago
So I'm switching to the Navy Reserves. Two reasons;
1. My current contract end in December, I graduate in May/June. 6 months with no income is not something I like.
2. Found out I'm not on the Montana promotion list, and I can't find out my over all score, so I don't know where I would place on the list if I was on it.
Right now, I'm faced with an issue; I can switch now or later, but right now, there are Aviation Warfare Mechanical (AWF) and Aviation Warfare Operator (AWO) slots, but no A School slots. But there are Air Traffic Control (AC) slots open. I wouldn't mind switching to AC, but I really want AWF or AWO.

Sounds like a sticky wicket.

Well good luck!

Such a shame I'm getting out right when you're getting in. AC is certainly not a bad way to go. We're at an increasingly desperate shortage of Airtraffic Controllers with no end in sight, so if you do head for the civilian sector, several airline companies will have catapults filled with money pointed at you.
