Seems my husband and I have given folks quite a scare thanks to some shots that were taken and posted to FB Thursday or Friday.

Thursday was turning out well enough until a kidney infection that we though we had under control turned aggressive. We didn't stay overnight in the ER, only for 5 hours while we got tests done and a CT scan. I look more worse than wear in the pictures. Been throwing up, my flank and abdomen hurt to the point I couldn't walk, and my body temp was low and had me shivering from the chills.

After 2 saline IV drips, one heavy dose of pain killers and antibiotics, and a CT scan, the doctor confirmed it had only been an infection and not a stone blocking anything as well.

We did a follow up appointment at the local clinic the next morning and got all prescriptions filled. I missed the midnight premier of Iron Man 3 ( got to see it Friday afternoon though!) and we got home safe and sound only for me to take the full doseage of hydrocodon and get a good mule kick of it hah. Upside is nothing hurt after that, downside is I was total space cadet till I was drug into bed to sleep it off. Yeah... Going to be taking half the recommended dose of that to keep the pain down to a dull ache... I kinda like being able to think properly.

I am back on my feet now, abeit a tad slower, but able to work.
