Help: info about furries and charities?

I'm writing a speech about the awesomeness that is the awesome fandom!
Can anybody tell me about the different types of charity work that furries take part in? I know we do stuff with animal charities of course, but if there's other stuff I'd love to learn about that, too! I'm not really sure exactly what type of information I'm looking for, so if you have some cool stats like really big dollar amounts that we've raised, that's great, or if you just have general info about charities that's great... the more the merrier!
