The way it happened was stupid. We had both cages in their side, so when he would crawl into the new one, we would just slide the lid on it. His tail wasn't in, but me being the fucking dumbass I am decided to try to tip the cage so he would fall in. He got out, I grabbed him, which I've only done twice before, and had to put him back in. The lid on the new cage is kinda fucked up, so it didn't close. He got out again. I grabbed him... again... and then I finally for the lid closed. I'm shaking with fear right now. I got that way the last two times I had to grab him. He's unfriendly, and he will snap at anything. Luckily he didn't bite me. Otherwise he'd probably be crawling around my room, I'd be bleeding, and everybody would be awake. Did I mention my body is shaky?
