Your help is needed

Okay guys, I haven't done this before, and I'm only doing this now because this is when it counts - this is for real.
If you don't wanna read the following wall of text (which I do encourage you to do), just skip down to the highlighted tl;dr summation at the bottom.
(Yeah there is a lot to read here - but I have a lot to say about this and though you may not read it - it's important for me to get it all down and in the open here. I want to be as transparent about this whole thing as I possibly can.)
I have a good job, and am able to pay my bills, take care of my kids, and live comfortably. I drive a car, eat reasonably well, and generally have a good life. I am very proud that I am able to support myself, and 'chu, and just generally be a 'responsible adult'. As far as day-to-day life goes, 'Chu and I are doing just fine :3
However, no matter how we try to arrange our expenses, and shuffle our money around, there is no getting around the fact that she and I simply do not have all the money we need for one very big and very important expense: and that is keeping her here legally with me in America and living together as husband and wife.
Very soon, we will indeed be married - but that alone is not enough for the governments of the US and Austria. We need to file paperwork and pay the expenses involved. We do not yet have a solid figure for that (we will soon and post updates), but just preliminary research tells us that the expense will be at least $2500 for everything - and that goes way beyond our means at this time.
So - as much as I dislike taking this step - it is necessary. We will take whatever steps we need to to live together.
We need to pay for these costs, and soon. We are now accepting donations in a couple ways:
The first is just your basic donation of whatever amount you can spare for us. All donors giving $20 or more will be put on a list and will receive from me a piece of art as a thank you. I am not going to be specific about what and when, but it will happen. Please include in your note that accompanies your donation your FA user name or other information so that I can keep track of who gets what.
The second is for our fellow artists: contribute your talent and artwork to the ladder auction which we will be setting up soon. It will work similarly to others previously held - i.e. the higher the final bid, the more artwork you will receive. I can promise you that the winning bidder will receive the full value of the winning bid - and more. I will be posting another Journal when this auction goes live - and I would love to be able to add other artists to the ladder when I post it - and I will add more as they choose to join the auction. If you are interested in contributing, please send me a Note or send mail to endensaizun@gmail.com.

I have never been terribly interested in becoming someone's art-slave before, but I will happily be an indentured servant if it means that 'chu and I no longer need to worry about her legal status here. We know that we are not alone, and there are others in the same boat as us. We are also deeply sympathetic to their predicament and wish them the very best of luck.
I have been told numerous times by many different people that my art is *koff* popular here... I have been very hesitant about embracing the idea - I guess I just don't think I really am at the level of many of the other artists I admire here on FA, and just how my art compares in general. Still - I do appreciate the fact that I have fans here, and I am very grateful for all the support I have gotten form you guys :'3 Now is the time to make a little sacrifice to show your appreciation for what I post, and most importantly, to help keep the girl I love with me forever.
Your love and support are needed now - like we've never needed it before.

My husband is from Vienna and I lived there for some years until we decided it was time to come back to the states, it took 800€ for him to receive his U.S. P.R. and it will be more for his citizenship after some years. So my best wishes to the both of you.

Or are you both living at your home in the US and she's on Visa? If she does have all her papers to stay in the US then getting married by the gorvernement is not an extreme problem. But if she still doesn't have her papers then yea....getting married for her to get her papers going to cost a lot more and its a slow process.
I get paid either Friday or Sat, so I'll see what I can do.

I really wish I could help though, have you considered maybe selling stuffs you don't absolutely need if you have any? My brother made about 60$ at a yard sale we had before he moved.

I can't contribute monetarily; honestly I'm surviving on the mercy of the few people who know me. But I'll note you for an explanation on contributing my talent, if it's something worthwhile. I'd hate to see a good thing go bad just because of inter-government cash-mongering.
Regardless of your relative goodness, I'll put this to you - since when has popularity (and hence salability) necessarily been directly linked to the fine-artistry of the piece?

Please don't wait to be the fabled "perfect artist" to earn what you can from what you do! :D Just....don't stop because you can get the monies, either. ;p
And your art, your work... I'm very surprised *and pleased too* that you seem so modest of your talent, although perhaps I shouldn't call it talent for I know you must have practiced ages to acquire your skill. The drawings of yours that I've seen are absolutely lovely, and I dream of the time when I can afford to commission you. I hope you happily keep your pencil in hand until then!
Anyway I do not have a Paypal myself but my mother does since she does alot of Ebay crud so I bug her to put my money there and send it to you ASAP I know I have 20-25 dollors running around in my wallet begging me to use it. NOW I HAVE A GOOD CAUSE. I also have cash in my bank account that I Was saving to move out of my parenst house. YET I blive this much more importent. If I can convence my mother to again take my money and put it there from that to her paypal. If I have to bite her I Will get her to >.<

I'm developing a system of credit right now to restructure another loan I have outstanding. (It was backed by collateral though, so I was never too worried, but he'd like his property back so I'm trying to accommodate fairly.)
It's a system that only has interest charges calculated based on date of payment received, no specific due dates or fees. So there's no stress about making a payment four days before a paycheck, or during a crisis. If you're interested in more info, leave me a note.
I'm going to try and have a website up that demonstrates the functionality of the payment system by this time next week, I'll post a link to it when it's working. I've got a spreadsheet version working, but it's very easy to mess up the cell contents and throw everything off.
I seriously wish I could help but right now i 5 months from 18 and have no card/payal. I have almost 200 bucks with me -right now- in my hands but again, no card or anything....

So I can't afford to up the auction any from where it is now without using my CC for the repairs, and that'd be at like 30% interest x_x Ah well, at least you've already more than met your target.
Do you guys have an immigration lawyer? We had bad luck with those; went through two that completely vanished from the firm before we got one who actually knew what they were doing.
I don't think it cost us anywhere near $5000 to do this (even adding the travel costs for the consulate interview and actually getting to Chaosie's home with all my stuff), but it was certainly a lot.
I can't send any money, I still owe so much from *my* immigration, but as someone who has been through something similar, if you have any questions or concerns, I'll be happy to try and help you guys out in that way.
