Help With Fursuit Mask Sliding Over Face
So I wasn't going to really come out and say it for a while yet, but I have a partial suit in my possession, have done for a while now.
I was going to take it to the meet tomorrow but since I got it I've been fighting with it just being too damn big or something. :( I have sent enquiries for advice to the maker a good while ago and they have not responded at this juncture. I don't know what to do, so I'm asking for advice.
The problem I'm having is that the head won't sit where it's supposed to on mine. If I press the mask tight to my face, I can feel where it's supposed to sit, and at that point the vision is decent and the jaw works great. BUT. As soon as I take my hands away and try to open the jaw, the whole mask slides forward right over my eyes, making me blind.
I have got a strip of foam and fleece and glued it to the forehead inside the mask and that's helped minimally. When I say minimally I mean it only slides 97% of the way forward over my eyes rather than 100%.
It's a resin based mask and there's elastic straps at the back. They don't sit very well on my head. It isn't tight enough.

There's a quick lame illustration. It seems like what it needs is something to grab the back of my head and support its own weight so that I can apply pressure to open the jaw.
So I have at my disposal scissors, superglue, foam, and fleece. WHAT DO I DO TO STOP THIS FUCKING MASK SLIDING OFF MY FACE PLEASE HELP.
Thanks~~~

Another person has told me the elastic is too far forward, so I should move it forward. Trouble is I can't really access it very well without skinning the mask. It was suggested that I slash the elastic and replace the strip closer to the joint, or replace with springs (but I have no idea how to do the springs.)
It does make my jaw feel pretty sore after just a few words, yeah!
Then after you try it on and see if the vision still works and the jaw is better you add foam to where it should be touching the back of your head. Little bits at a time so you can make sure not to over do it.
Take a gander:

These might help, I just ran a little sim and they seemed to help stop it slipping down.
If not, then maybe you could attempt to pad the back of the suit head a little more? It has to be a very snug fit to stop it moving around as I learned when buying the wrong helmet once (I have a tiny head, so just about everything's loose fitting)
Which begs the question, was the suit made for you, or was it bought second hand? I can't help but think about shoddy build quality being to blame, excuse me if i'm wrong though ;I
I'll head down to Abakh's tomorrow and grab some elastic to try this.
As for the padding you put near the nose, the inside of the mask where my nose is has a loooot of space there, but that's necessary for airflow. I'll definitely try the extra elastic.
