Deleted things

“And it is still true, no matter how old you are -- when you go out into the world, it is best to hold hands and stick together.”
does that annoy you? Sometimes I go looking through my favourites and find 'submission has been removed by user' instead of teh pic that i faved and it makes me really sad. A lot of my faves are pictures that people have drawn for me or stories people have written for me and when I find them suddenly gone without any knowledge or warning it kinda irks me. I mean I don't save all the pics people have made for me to my computer I just kinda assume that once they're here on this website then that's where they'll stay, because i dont delete anything in my gallery, if i want to remove something i just shove it in my scraps folder. So maybe I should start just saving all the pics people have drawn for me to my computer, that way at least i know theyre save. Does anyone else horde the commissions they get on their own pc or do you just assume they'll stay on this website?
I think deleting stuff is kinda like sticking two fingers up at the people who took time to comment and fave and such and even if its an awful piece of art, its still part of my art history of where i was at that point in time and I shouldn't just discard it.
And whilst we're at it, another thing that irks me is people saying they cant draw. Seriously guys if I can draw anyone can draw. My pictures used to make people laugh with how awful they were, and sadly that's not even a joke, but i drew because i loved doing it it was a way of expressing myself and sometimes the hurtful comments and laughing did upset me and i stopped drawing for quite a long time but if its in you to create something then eventually that creativity is gonna pop up again. So yeah you cant draw WELL at the moment but you can draw, so instead of whining about it, pick up a pen and do something about it, cause the only way you're gonna get better is to draw more and learn.
I mean i'm not expert not by a very very long shot but if you need tips and stuff about getting started or need some advice on a piece of art you're currently working on then feel free to drop me a note and ill help you the best i can, Ask
too cause well...he's way better at art than me...actually if you're not watching him you might wanna go take a look

Weird thing though to first commission/draw something, then put it to display on here and then remove it..
I'm quite sure you can still get it back and in my case, I make sure I have it stored somewhere safe, if I've paid from it. And even if I haven't, if it would be gift or something related, I would keep them safe too..
2. I agree, I suck at drawing but I still try ^^ (tho, I dont know what to draw most of the time lol)
3. I could use some helpful art tips :) (note me 4 this)
I just need help in art realy.. just anything.
but more to feet and heads..
(and I've collected an archive of ab/dl stories on the principle that most of their hosts sites would end up vanishing... which then happened O.o weird.)
So yes, hoarder. definitely. XD
Much like what I am doing now with the massive art dump I have been having as of late.
And if anyone wants tips from me they can totally ask me, too, even though I'm not the best either. :O
I know in at least a few cases it just means the picture was moved to/from Scraps, but still don't like it...
I wish my friends could listen to what you said about not being able to draw. One draws cartoons mainly and the other wants to learn but they both insist they can't do it and won't listen when I try to explain it's not that they can't do it, it's that they can't do it yet and if they just practice they'll learn.
And I don't get enough commissions to hoard them. XD Maybe when I start, I would do that, but do people really delete art that was a commission? I understand deleteing personal art, but if someone paid you for it, shouldn't you keep it up as long as the buyer wants you to? I hope they at least ask before they delete it; not every commissioner resubmits or saves their commission, so you might accidently take someone's art away...
And yes i have each piece i faved in a special folder, this is because i knows who deleted one drawing.
ANyway if you like do the same, well better just save the drawing and dont fave anyway.
oh and i definaltly wanna take you up on those tips but idk where to start anything you see in my recent stuff that scream i need help?
also face shading how do?
And I was afraid when I saw the journal title because I thought YOU were doing that!! So much relief that you are not!!
I am to understand if you have questionable content, often times the admins won't even say "XYZ is a problem" they'll just say "Something in your gallery offends us. You must remove anything that *might* match that description, and if we still see the things we're worried about when we get back then you'll be suspended".
That would lead to a lot of collateral takedowns, just so the artist can feel safe. T^T
Also when I get a commish the person normally emails me a copy anyway! xD I always save the things I commish as force of habit, and I'll save anything else I really, really really decide I like toos. :3
But I can't draws. Doing so requires more patience and effort than I can really spare. :<
