I know she's really upset over my money situation, but she's completely oblivious to absolutely everything I've been trying to tell her, and she keeps getting mad at me when I try to explain that I can't just go to every artist I've ever commissioned in the past two years and say "oh hey I want my money back". It doesn't work that way.

Honestly, I'm surprised more things haven't shown up on ED. I mean, there's a been a lot of serious lulz lately. I think they're slacking. :D

I believe most entrys on ED are made by people who are affected by the things happening.
So it really depends on someone out there who thinks its big enough for ED or not. But if things keep piling up,
theres no doubt an entry WILL appear earlier or later.

I'm so sorry to hear that this is happening. I'm surprised that people are being so offensively vehement about this too, as if they didn't understand that she can READ these comments.

Sadly, it also shows a misperception about art too. Art is something that is a job for these people. It's not like it's a piece of furniture to buy, try out, and put away. The work has already been done, and cannot be resold. It's more like going to the grocery store and buying a piece of (perishable) food.

Sorry that things are so drastic and there's a large amount of overreaction. I hope things get settled soon, I know you've been taking steps to get your life back in order. The first year or two of being out on your own, or at least getting an income, is very tough, because there's a lot of lessons that you have to learn with money that you aren't prepared for. It's easy to go and splurge on things you've wanted to do before you had an income, without realizing that there are hidden bills around the corner. I've been there, done that, I'm sure others have too.

The good news is that your sense of priorities do tend to get whacked back into proper alignment, and that the rush does wear off, and that you do start focusing on things.
