well im getting some ram for my computer and i dont know if it will help my gaming in minecraft ;~;

RAM is one important thing that helps Java really much in running. The only point is: what is your RAM type? DDR2? DDR3? How much RAM do you have already and your computer ix X86 or X64?

ok,mine is a ddr2 and i already read a few articles and have confirmed with experts (real ones not friends) that my laptop can go to 8gb and in the moment i have 4gb

4 GB and Minecraft runs slow? Wow. It doesn't run slow to me and I have just 2 GBs.

yea X_X,it runs good......but the lag spikes kills me so much !!!!! specialy in a server with good connection

Have you tried with Optifine? It removes lag spikes.

Just search for it on Google, it's not to hard to find.

If you have 4 gigs of RAM and Minecraft is still running sub-par it could be either your processor, which being a laptop there isn't really anything you could realistically do, or something on your laptop, such as the controls for the monitor or the mouse pad, that's messing with it.

You could try the OptiFine Mod like Jambus said, other than that it could be related to the CPU or GPU render distance. I can help you with that!
