This is exactly why furries CANNOT talk about furries with conservative parents!! As much as I love my family, I'd never ever tell them about my interest in the fandom.

We have things like computers and tablets and phones to get things done.

It's not like engineers need art to design those things, or imagination, because they think in technical things. They don't need any ideas to inspire them, and certainly not pictures of animals, whether they walk on two or four legs. How can encouraging dreams and imagination possibly help them think of new stuff for them to give us items we now use everyday to do our own work?
