⭐️ be rootin, be tootin, and by god be shootin ⭐️ What do you do when what you enjoy drawing is suddenly not what people want from you? How do you make a living on art that isn't really something you enjoy anymore? I've been asking myself this more lately. Maybe this phase will pass and I'll be back to drawing furries, but I have to admit to myself that I haven't been this enthusiastic to draw in quite a long time. At least... Drawing what I am now.
I know humans are not popular here. I know that AC is a pretty small demographic. I guess I'm just put out by the fact that I enjoy it so much but no one else seems to (as much).
It's not something I can really help, though. I'm not going to stop drawing what I like because of lack of support. I just wish others enjoyed it as much as I do.
I guess I just need to find another site for it. People don't like human work here unless they're cute little boys.
I finally made a y-gallery account but that site has dwindled down to almost nothing. I guess tumblr or hentai foundry are next.
I kind of miss the old days. Back when I was in highschool the femboy rush hadn't started, really, and gay guys were cool as is. Boys that look like girls are fine and dandy, but I remember back when hot guys were the rage. Am I imagining this?
Anyway.... I guess just sort of a rant. I'll still have to take commissions and sell my hand to people. There's no escaping that. I just want to find an outlet for my other work so it reaches the people who like it.

I'm myself getting less feedback on humanoid art but it's true that I haven't gotten hate on it either (but maybe I'm not well-known enough for that, popularity attracts dramallamas ><)
Sal got 9000+ watches from people who like furries. Now they can get another 9000+ who like humans. Takes time but so did getting that many watches in the first place.
This job pays well enough that I have to keep it for my rent. I've been working every other day with a day in between to draw 'me' stuff. It's been helping.
I like SA because they really have a lot of variety in styles. I think that's what I like about that place the most.
You can also try Nabyn, too.
There's little purpose in drawing if you don't find any enjoyment in it. Anyways, FA's more of a place for people to share their interests through art and stuff, but furries are the main focus of the site, which might be the reason most people come here for the furs more than humans. :P Still, I bet lots of people enjoy what you do almost as much as you do, if not as much. I do, personally. x3
On a non-commission point, I don't comment much regardless, but yeah, not everyone can be a girly dude, though I try, lol. I'd like to see more regular dudes being sexy, certainly x3
If you draw stuff you that others wanna see, then you get burnt out faster. Have a change of pace, maybe draw some furry X Human stuff and some exclusively human stuff. Balance it out. If you really don't wanna draw anymore furry characters then just draw humans for a while. If you stop drawing furry stuff all together that's your choice, your art isn't going to take a hit if you decide to switch it up.
Frankly I think you should just start drawing whatever you want. If you can't enjoy drawing, then might as well not draw. At least that's my opinion.
I think that your human artwork is really good. I find it painfully difficult to find an artist to commission human artwork from; it seems like dA's artists are always closed, and I haven't liked much of the little human stuff I've see on FA. Then again, I prefer it when my human art is G-rated, which seriously restricts my options.
But yeah. I wouldn't worry too much about it, if people really like your stuff they'll appeticated it with no problems.

i love seeing the realistic detail that you're able to put into a human drawing versus a furry one. yes, one can technically try adding in the needed details to do the same with furries, but not to the same degree. remember, dear, anything you put your heart and soul into drawing will find it's way to the people that need to see it ^.^
Human porn is a far, far larger medium then furry though. Theres a plethora of sights that welcome it but it may be more difficult to have a voice when it's the mainstream form of adult content.
But popularity and attention isn't everything, do what you find is the most fun!
Could always try offering a discount for that type of commission or something like a special round of commissions till you get your fill of it?

I think humans are totally fine. In fact, i think its a good little break from drawing constant girly-boys in bikinis and whatnot. Gotta have a balance to stay sane x3

P.S. The dual-site thing would be a good idea, but I personally don't mind seeing human artwork here.
Your human art's good, and I'd still like to see humans in my inbox between some of the ridiculousness and other things; so be it an alt account or what, at least a few of us and I would still follow for dat humans.
Drawing furries seems to be getting just harder and harder as time goes on.
Though with my humans I still mostly keep the femboy thing going on xD

Depends on what "Professional" is in your opinion. Does the art world look down on it? Most assuredly. Its seen as easy, vulgar, and whatever other terms you can lift your nose at. Though, I find nudes and porn can be very difficult just like any other art. If anatomy isn't right, the expressions, backgrounds, anything can take you our of a pornographic pic if not done right. Most are just not open minded enough to see it as art.
