Yays, part 33! =D
Bachri: Okay guys, sorry about the short hiatus, but it was caused by events FAR outside of my control. Hopefully I'll be getting back on track with this.
Part 33
>F: Spend time with Phio and learn new spells
To be fair, you have no idea how to learn new spells. You have no idea how you learned your first spell. You have no idea what you're doing, so you turn to Phio once more. Grabbing him by the arm, you only get a small amount of protest before he reluctantly follows you- leaving only a darkened wall and a patch of wet sand behind- to an old clearing on the other side of the village. You used to visit this clearing, a small little area surrounded by window-less houses about the size of a modern back yard, when you were a cub, often training in the ways of a Huntress in relative privacy. Now it was going to be used in much the same way, only with spells instead of kicks and claws.
Phiodel merely stood in a dark corner of the clearing, not wanting to get hit by any rampant fireballs. Focusing on a bush growing against one of the far walls, you concentrate as much as you can on the idea of that bush igniting into flames. Apparently, something about this is working, as you can feel the warm rush of energy collecting in your paws. Within seconds, you can feel the heat of sparks running down and off your claws, prompting you to hold your hands up and watch as two perfectly round orbs of fire appear in your palms. You find yourself mesmerized by them, seeing your magic at work for the first time that it isn't in a fight for your life. The flames rise from your palms and into the air before vanishing, but their sources remain a complete constant, providing a seemingly endless supply of fire.
(-10% Attention)
"Are you going to do something with that?"
Phio spoke up, knocking you out of your little trance. Brought back to reality, you aimed one of your hands towards the bush and extended your arm, but nothing happened. The orb remained in your paw. Maybe you need to do it a bit faster? You pull your arm back, then thrust it outward again, but still nothing. Slightly irritated, you pull your arm back once again and thrust it with a bit more of your weight behind it. That seems to do the trick, as a spray of hot flames shoot from your palm, lighting up the clearing and completely incinerating the bush. Alarmed at the powerful blast, you pull your arm away once more, ending the fire stream. The flames soon disperse, leaving the bush as the only light source as it slowly turns to ash.
"Good job! Dunno what it is, but it's great!"
At least Phio was ecstatic about this. To you, it was just plain confusing. But at least now you knew that you could create fire at will. You focus again, this time concentrating on the opposite of fire; water. You concentrate as hard as you can on water, and soon the warmth in your fingertips changes into a soothing coolness. You watch as the fires in your palms turn to steam and vanish, being replaced by droplets of water which rapidly combine to form a spinning, unstable sphere of liquid hovering just above your paw pads. Doing the same thing as before, you thrust your arms out towards the bush, causing twin streams of seemingly unlimited water to completely extinguish the fire that was still burning.

Your mind suddenly feels exhausted, unable to concentrate on the images of fire, water or anything else. You decide that you've had enough training and turn to Phio, who still had an impressed expression on his face. You were worried that he might have been a bit freaked out at seeing a Felinid conjure fire from her paws, but the male seemed otherwise calm about it. You lean against one of the walls surrounding the clearing and gently fall to the dirt, your loincloth draping between your legs and doing it's job perfectly despite your provocative position. You hardly flinch as the lion sits next to you, opening a little clay container of something and drinking from it. You almost ask, but you remember the barrels of Darkwater in his home and think better of it. Come to think of it, he may have been drinking Darkwater since yesterday, but you've never seen him seriously drunk or inebriated.
It took a moment to realize it, but neither of you were saying anything. You were both just... sitting next to each other. For a moment, you thought it would be awkward to stay like this, but there was no tension between you and him. Instead, it actually felt nice to just spend a moment with the Hunter, alone and silent. In private... Just as sudden as the silence, you felt a warm beating in your chest, one that kept you alive yet went unnoticed until now. It actually made you blush as you thought about it. Some part of you knew how far it might go if you both stayed like this, but it wasn't to be- your sensitive eyes noticed something at the far end of the clearing, movement where it wasn't supposed to be. You turned your head up towards it and focused. Your instincts were suddenly being driven up the wall by something you couldn't see.
(+5% Relationship with Phio)
Standing up, you look to the nearby roofs in the hope that you might catch something again. There, to the left, a faded flash of green. Damnit, him again? Despite not seeing him directly, your instincts scream that it was the Green-cloaked Felinid that's seemingly been stalking you since yesterday. It wasn't enough that he attacked the Wenta and then fled with his Canid allies, but he was STILL spying on you. You wonder for how long, but maybe you can find that out for yourself...

And yay you're back! I figured uncontrollable events caused this delay.
