I NEED HELP!

To whom it may concern,
I need help. Not for myself, but for my best friend.
These last few years have been very unkind to me. I am jobless, my savings ran out six months ago, and I live in a tiny bedroom at my brother’s house.
I share that bedroom with my best friend who needs help. My friend’s name is Sugarbear. He’s a cat. He’s the best friend an up and coming elderly reprobate like myself can ask for.
Two months ago, I noticed a lump on Sugarbear’s left rear leg. I couldn’t take him to the veterinarian right away because I had no money and my brother has money woes of his own. But a friend came through for me and I was finally able to take Sugarbear to the veterinarian.
Sugarbear has a cancerous tumor on his leg. That leg has to be amputated as soon as possible. But the operation and follow-up treatment will cost $1,337.34.
I don’t have that. I have nothing left to pawn. But I am hoping that there are people willing to help save my cat.

Sugarbear seems to be holding up (knocks on wood), but I'm not taking anything for granted anymore.
It is kinda hard to donate from Germany otherwise :/
