yaegashi and  hippiemouse are in trouble. yaegashi (Wes) lost his job as a teacher. He's been looking desperately for any other teaching job and pretty much exhausted every possibility. He's been cut off unemployment benefits; he believes they cut him off early and he's appealing, but he's not hopeful. They're only keeping their apartment right now by getting loans from Wes's mother. And they're still having to use all of hippiemouse's (Cory's) SSI to pay their other bills and buy food, leaving Cory with no money for the antibiotics that keep his skin infection at bay. They don't believe Wes's mother will make too many loans. If they do lose their apartment, Wes will have to move back in with his mother and Cory will have to move back to Michigan.

Wes is trying to raise a grubstake through gofundme.com so that he can write a Great American Novel. It will keep him and Cory in rent money for a while and let them stay together. His objective is $7,000. The result will be a book Wes can sell to hopefully make some money. About this couple; they need each other. Wes is such a sweetheart! He's earned a loving partner by having a genuine heart-of-gold more than most people who have a partner. And Cory, he's kind of like the 11th Doctor; he really should not be alone, (which he might as well be back in Michigan.) Wes is his Riversong, he needs him to be "all there."
