Tough decision, need advice

So I've come across on one of these decisions that will make one person either dissapointed or something in the lines of that...
It just happens that on the 29th of this month there are two events happening at the same time, one of them being a lot bigger than the other, however, I made a promise to participate in the smaller one (with Anzu), but it just so happens that I got invited to participate in the big event to unveil my new suit, which will cause quite a stir.
It's such a big gamble right now that I don't know what to do....I want to meet Anzu again but I also don't want to let a lot of people down not showing up to unveil the suit >w<
What do you suggest? go with Anzu or head to the big event? (convincing Anzu to go to the big event is not an option).
