Okay so I haven't posted a journal in a while, like.. 2 months time. And I figured I would already go ahead and throw something up here that I feel is important.
So yeah, I do make and draw oc's for some things I find I really think would be enjoyable to roleplay. Considering my gallery, that definitely involves Homestuck.
Forewarning: I will be drawing OC's with the canon characters.
I know a lot of people do not like this and find it rather annoying. No one has commented yet about whether I draw an oc with canon, but I would just like to point out a few things.
I draw to have fun. I understand that "this is not canon." Again. Yes. I know.
That is why they are fan made characters. I'm not saying the canon would absolutely be in love with a character, but as a piece of art I was inspired to draw, I find it as more of a "what if."
I know people do make a lot of bad oc's that do not fit at all. And I'm not saying mine are 100% accurate on the dot or even great. But some people work very hard to keep them as canon based as possible. I know I have made a few mistakes and will instantly change them to fit better the moment I am informed.
I find it silly at times when people complain about these scenarios considering many people actually buy commissions of their characters with the artist's. I've seen this as simple friendly commissions to even something deeper such as intercourse. And honestly, I feel oc's and canon pictures fall into that category.
With this said, I'm STILL going to draw canon characters together as long as I am in the mood for something. But I will also be drawing oc and canon. If people do not like this, I'm sorry. But I'm doing this because I enjoy it. If one does not like it, then they do not even have to click the submission and look at it.
