The last time I had a really glitchy computer (Not saying your is), I actually developed a habit of randomly hitting Ctrl + S (Save in most programs). I'd be writing papers for the newspaper - Ctrl + S. I'd be editing a picture in PSP: Ctrl + S. I'd start playing GAMES and hitting Ctrl + S. Which, of course, the other people playing would laugh at, because you CAN'T SAFVE IN HALF LIFE OR MINECRAFT or most of the other games I play, heh.

Can't tell you how many times that's saved my bacon, though! And I LOVE to save my bacon - its' too tasty to waste!

Seriously though: I feel your pain. that SUCKS. One of the most frustrating things imaginable!

You can too save in Half-Life! It's F6! Though I always rebound mine to F5 x3
