I think, due to your artistic abilities and wide range of work, your page is a bit like a grab bag where you tend to like what you get every time. That's my two cents worth.

I think All art is your own. And should not be kept separate.

Unless you are drawing some of the /heavy/ hitter like Vore/Baby etc etc.

I think a mature rating as well as a non-image text based thumbnail is usually enough. The site has filters, after all. If people don't want to see porn, it's pretty easy to avoid it.

I like pages with variety, personally. I did the two account thing for a while with porn, and it wasn't worth it. I just keep a sketch account because my watchers don't need to see glorified stick figures because someone won't give me their email address

personally...unless you are intentionally trying to separate this account from sexual artwork...you should just post it here.

As someone mentioned earlier, this site has filters, and it's very easy to turn off sexual artwork based on said filters.
If they're really running around with their filters not set and complaining about adult artwork that's kind of their problem. :X

Keeping them separate would definitely be nice for the folk that have some weird need for it to be, and it helps maintain gallery focus. I'd suggest just keeping it all in one gallery, unless for say, commissions, they feel amiss with your personal art.

I don't see a reason to, unless you specifically want to... tap that market.

And by separate account to post commissions, do you mean works that you commissioned or works that you drew on commission?

Do what you can to protect yourself, and a separate account/identity is a good thing. I definitely want to see all of your art, so I'll look out for the change.

Honestly I think it depends more on decency than explicit content whether or not to distance from your main account. Porn does boost visibility/name recognition and is popular, FA is for the most part an adult or teenage audience--and if provided with thumbnails the disclosure is there to take or leave. That said though, me & I think a lot of other viewers regard you as an artist that's generally fundamentally sound; If the cabbage is underage or unwilling or every other thumbnail is going to require slaw trigger warnings, that is not at all the brand/artist I'd originally opted in to following. Similarly, are the commissions and the smut two separate problems/questions, or is the smut things you have been drawing on commission? Because with commissions there's a lot less say in content and divorcing it from your main fan-base is probably a good PR move for that reason.

I think if you put up an advisory thumbnail for stuff that is adult in nature, you shouldn’t offend any of your more sensitive viewers -- unless of course they are the type who just have to look behind the ADULT warning thumbnails so that they can, a second or two later, pretend to be shocked & offended by what they see. There is no defense against that type of viewer. They have to look and somehow it is the artist’s fault that they did.

On one hand, I personally keep separate accounts for clean and adult stuff (in fact I have separate accounts for different 'main kinks'). And I like it when others do the same as it gives me more idea what to expect when I watch them. If I'm looking for porn and an account posts a lot of clean stuff compared to adult stuff, I'm less likely to watch it on those accounts.

On the other hand on my clean account which is for watching/faving clean stuff only - an account I don't mind showing to non-perverts :P - I watch plenty of artists who post a mix of clean and adult and that's fine -- the filters keep out the adult stuff 99% of the time. I don't particularly need them to thumbnail-hide the adult stuff -- as long as they categorize stuff properly. I find myself getting pretty annoyed when people post work that is technically 'tame' but clearly focusses on sex/some kink, in the 'general' category.

So I guess I'd just go with whichever feels right/is easiest for you!

If you think it would make a difference to a client or employer then separate smut and non smut as it makes it harder to find the naughtiest stuff!

Anyway, as long as you don't get into hardcore fetishes, I'm pretty sure that everyone who cares enough to comment is going to be totally fine with that. I don't get mad when you post non-RPG stuff. I like your art just the same! Everyone has favorites.

A question I've struggled with a bit myself, except in regards to story writing rather than visual arts. I do find it difficult to write porno-style stories... you know, the explicit "Tab-A into Slot-B" stuff. And yet it seems like if you don't do something adult, you're not gonna get really recognized here. Maybe it's different on DA; I dunno, I just hang out there to view stuff. Never posted anything.

As for you, I think you're just fine. Like someone said earlier, your gallery is like a grab bag and there's really nothing to not like about it. If you never drew another mature/adult image again I'm sure all of us would be no less thrilled with what you do. Compared to some galleries out there, you have very little adult content, from what I remember seeing. At least as a ratio...

So keep on doing what you're doing, eh? I think we'll all be plenty happy.
