Okay, So E3

Sony has me speaking in tongues, especially the $399 base price tag. They bundle it with a Vita and man oh man!
Fuck Microsoft for making the Killer Instinct reboot exclusive, even though it looks like a mediocre Street Fighter 4 clone.
Fuck Microsoft for making the Killer Instinct reboot exclusive, even though it looks like a mediocre Street Fighter 4 clone.
...And this. http://youtu.be/kWSIFh8ICaA
I'm going to start saving now, no way am I going to miss out on this
Let sony teach you how to share your games!
Titles are Yes.
Their limitless branch for all sorts of games in development and release is yes
The common SENSE for not charging for used games is yes.
EVERYTHING IS YES FOR SONY RIGHT NOW.
Ps4 is priced at $399 in the US
Xbone is priced as $499 in the US
But sony totally won in every regard for me.
stuff they're pulling? And the higher price?
And the forced kinect usage?
Microsoft has pulled out all the stops where Sony has not with a console that looks like its been design around six bricks put together and using you're real name. HELLO SONY WTFH ARE YOU THINKING, their goes you're privacy and hello to spam, hate message's and stalkers via social networks and such. Not to mention I bet you with in the first 4 months that the PS4 is out it'll be hacked more than once and the server will go down more times you can count on the PS3
No offence but you seem to be basing your arguments entirely on rumours - neither console has ever been said to be $899, apart from one pre-order website. This isn't the official pricing given by Sony, just a placeholder. The Xbox One preorder price on amazon.co.uk before the announcement was £600: http://www.t3.com/news/amazon-uk-pr.....t-pound-599-99 but that was just a placeholder, not the actual price. The Xbox One has never said to have GDDR5 RAM. And could you link me to this real name thing? Because I've never heard that either.
At the minute, the only thing Xbox One has going for it is Skype integration, and that's because Microsoft owns Skype - it's not that Sony didn't put it in because they didn't want to, it's because they CAN'T without paying a fee to Microsoft. If Sony owned Skype, it'd be the opposite.
You still haven't said anything about the used game system - you can't share your game more than once, you can only share it to one person after they have been on your friends list for 30 days, installations are mandatory for all games, publishers can now opt to lock a disc and charge a fee if the game is used on another machine without the above criteria. Doesn't this make you angry? You have the potential to buy a game and not be able to do what you want with it.
Could you link me to the using your real name thing?
Also PS4's GDDR isn't ready for market use the graphic's cards that have power are but not the ram its needs more testing. I know the DDR4 ram is coming out next year for PC's and Laptop's and only Alien Ware Laptops can handle the GDDR ram not a console so unless Sony has cut a deal with Alien WARE I would advise everyone to think before you buy. Just because something has something better it doesn't always work out in the end like all those cars that had to be recalled by car companies and such cause of a fault. I see that happening to PS4 cause the power supply isn't strong enough to support the GDDR ram in anyway I have seen test and the power supply was so heated up they had to leave it to cool for two days cause they had it running non-stop under online gaming condiction's and I can't post the video cause of legal reason's. So there is my argument for not getting a PS4, even though I'm a gamer at heart I always look at the bigger picture for the long run of a console. What's SONY going to do next at next E3 announce that they are working on a PS5 or another handheld gaming device like they did with Nintendo's idea of having a Gameboy, GBA, GBA SP, NDS DSL DSi, 3DS, 3DS XL. Nintendo and Microsoft where around before Sony showed up with a console where gamer's would garther at each others homes and have LAN parties playing Warhammer on the PC when it come out to play, Nintendo had two player option for the games and later on four-player option's with their SNES to the WII U.
If people know their gaming history on Video Games, which I don't think many know. Pong was the first game to come out before Pac-Man and every other video game we remember.
The PS4 may look flashy with it's GDDR but SONY won't put in more ram later on down the road will they. Microsoft will give you the option to update the ram in their console which means when more games out you'll have the needed ram to play them cause think of the Xbox ONE as a PC. Every time a new game comes out it tells you what is needed in two sections for the lowest to the highest needed to run the game in those 60fps. Take World of Warcraft it requires you to have at least 8GB of DDR3 ram to play it in 60fps on you're PC or Laptop. this is where my knowledge comes from cause I always make sure that either my PC or Laptop can handle the game if can't then I don't get, simple and easy as that.
I could careless if the Xbox One has better hardware under the hood. I refuse to be a patron of the DRM crap they are pull. It takes gaming options away from the individual. You're done with a game or friend wants to borrow it. Well with Xbox One you can't because of their policy on DRM. You always have to check in once per day or once per hour if you're accessing your account from another Xbox. This makes offline gaming impossible to an extent. Even though its 2013, people don't always have a always ready internet, or internet at all. I know people who live in rural areas who can't get internet even if they wanted to. Microsoft champions policy that are anti-consumer and aren't catering to the Gaming Industry. Its Microsoft bringing their DRM policy into the gaming industry which is doesn't need. Even Sony has their own DRM policies for other media, but they refuse to put it on their consoles because as they noticed, it doesn't bode well for a community they has always thrived off be reselling and purchase of used games. To be honest, Microsoft started digging their ditch when announced their policies
Quality Over Quantity
Honesty I go quality over quantity with games. Which is why I normally go Nintendo and Sony when I buy a console. Quality normally comes from first party content. Nintendo always focuses on their game mechanics and selection and besides crappy third-party content, its rare for a game from Nintendo to unimpress me. They numerous first party series and they all aren't just platformers, they range through multiple genres. Now lets look at Sony and Microsoft. More often than not, they share gaming libraries. However, with Sony their first party series has better quality over Microsoft and have more quality (if you people want to argue more games.): Uncharted, Journey, Sly Cooper, Ratchet and Clank, Last of Us, Last Guardian, Resistance, Killzone, God of War, just to name a few. So far from what I've seen with 360, its first party/exclusive content comprises mostly of FPS or shooters (Dragon Age and Fable being the most noteable ones on 360) The only exclusive titles that aren't the only with only Sunset Overdrive and Ryse being Xbox One exculsive titles that interest me, which is not enough to overcome the price and their anti-consumer policies. The thing with Nintendo and Sony, their first party/exclusive content caters to more than one than just one crowd. It tries to expand the quality and genres of their games. "Oh but it has more games." Don't care. A game library can have a shit ton of games, but it can have only a few priceless gems under all the shit. **When I argue first party: These games can not (this counts predecessors) have been cross platform.**
Price
Playstation 4 $399 US/€399/£349/$549 AU and the Xbox One $499 US[1]/€499[1]/£429[1]/$599 AU[2]
In honesty, looking at the prices wise PS4 has the better price being about 100 dollars less (Though if you live in Australia, it won'd be a stark difference Inpaying the extra 50 AUDs if you really want the X1). To be honestly. I'm frankly surprised that the PS4 was its price. I honestly thought it would be equivalent to the PS3.
Online Content.
I will agree that Xbox Live has the better online capabilties than PSN, when it was on the 360. When we go back to the PS3 and 360, PSN let you play mutliplayer for free, Xbox Live charged you. Though Xbox Live had the better services needed to have an Xbox Live Gold account (59.99 per year). However with PSN, such services (like social networking, netflix, youtube, music, etc.) were free. Playstation Plus gave advantage such as Discounts, free hit title games. We look at PS4 and X1, Xbox Live is still same, nothing really new (policies or content, two free games per month (about it)). However, the PS4 requires you to pay 49.99 per year to play Online Mutiplayer, however, that from what Sony has stated that all over services that were free, would continue to be free. It makes sense why they would do this. You're paying 399 for a system that should be in equivalent price to the Xbox One. Xbox Live does have the great capabilties, but PS+ gives you more 'bang for your buck'. And looking at this current generation, PSN is proving to be be better because the lack of DRM and always online BS.
Then you look under the hood and see that Xbox One is slightly better specs wise. However, the main thing that keeps most gamers (with the exception of die hard xbox fans) is the DRM always on bullshit. Yet this isn't about fanboying or console biases. Their policies are anti-consumer and I refuse to be a patron of those policies.
If the Xbox ONE didn't have the kinect it would cost lesser than the PS4 will. Also SONY's forcing you to use you're real name online is breaching privacy laws cause their will be trolling done to a lot of people
Sony isn't forcing you to do anything. Using your real name its option. Its gives you the option of using your real name or your PSN handle. Plus, if you don't link your Facebook to your PS4 (I don't see why you would, its a gaming system not a computer) you don't have to worry about real names. Even if you do connect its totally optional and secures your real name in situations on anonymity. I think the majority of players will just avoided connecting their facebook to their PS4, cause again, its a gaming system, not a social networking device. Xbox ONE menu is better cause of the ease of use, with sony they looked at their menu and said lets fix this instead they broke their menu when they could've lefted it the same. Sony went for it's not broken fix it way where as Microsoft went "if its not broken don't fix it" way which will pay off in the end for them
Any if you want to talk about selling people, Sony and Microsoft share a shit ton of games in there libraries. Likewise, not much is separating X1 and PS4 under the hood as off them first coming out on the market. There are few things that make gamers choose that will make a difference in their purchase. 1) Who has the better first party (exclusive) content? Overall, Sony has more exclusive content and most of the exclusive titles have gotten great criticism and are gems. However, Microsoft's exclusive content isn't a lot, but they are still gems. 2) Policies: Normally this isn't a factor but its become a big debate this generation. Plays want to sell used games, they don't want to be online just to play a offline game (especially if they are accessing their account from their friends Xbox One). Sony doesn't have those restrictive policies and will get more sales. Players don't want to want to pay as much as they do for console and be restricted in how they can use and enjoy it. "Power to the Players." 3)Price. Even if you say the X1 is the 'better system' people are still looking at price. If they don't care whats under the hood, or about exclusive content and just want they daily fix of CoD or some sports game (*shudders*), then they'll pick the system that is more affordable. PS4 in addition to year subscription to PS+ is $449.99 (USD). Xbox One + yearly subscription to XLG is 549.99 then you have to add on the cost of games which are an addition 59.99 per game title. Families, Gamers, Regular people, are going to pick the game console that is more afforable to them. Yet, as I said before Gamers look for more.
Its sad to see a gamer being faithful to a console that doesn't really support Gamers and their consumer needs. If you weren't being so biased you can how bad Xbox One Policies are and how they are causing an uproar amongst the Gaming Community. No one, unless they were hardcore patrons, would want such restrictive, anti-consumer policies while purchasing their game. You work for a company and your still supporting the system, understandable. Yet, I and most gamers refuse to support such policies that are coming from Microsoft. DRM will be the death of gaming. Its not a new gimmick. I understand its to stop piracy, but companies such Sony Music Entertainment, Apple, Activision, Electronic Arts, etc have DRM and individuals still get around DRMs to pirate media. Sorry but the way I see it, Microsoft this time around too focus on turning a profit. As I said before Microsoft Policies are too restrictive. They release a virus that we can only hope doesn't catch on to the rest of the Gaming Industry. I can see a lot of biased for Microsoft in your post, because you work for them. Sony and Nintendo is catering more to the gaming Community as a whole, Microsoft is trying go for to broad audience. A Gaming system is just that, for games. Not Movies, Not Music, Not TV, Not Internet. (Looking at Sony as well because they're doing it as well, yet its not as pronounced focused as Microsoft is) Sure you can have you gimmicks (or 'innovations') like the PS Eye, Kinect, and Wii Pad, but those are still implemented in gaming. That other media nonsense isn't what gamers want.
Ah, I think I spotted your issue there. I would joke about censorship too, but I think pretty much all games circumvent the 'small breast' ban.
Sony blew me away. I mean I'm sitting here with new underwear from the amount of jizz, and I'm a Nintendo fan (though I've been with sony since PS1 as well) About 75% to 80% of the games they previewed I would by because they cater to multiple genres. And don't even get me started about FFXV and KHIII. When I saw those I screamed. I was like "ABOUT FUCKING TIME NORUMA!" Then the price drop. Mmmmm.....MMM! Girl! 399! CUT THROAT! Yea...100 less than the Xbox One.
The only thing is... You need PS+ for online multiplayer... :(
I mean, I know it comes with other benefits as well, but my mother has never been to keen on these monthly payments, no matter the cheap $5 per month deal.
So I guess no online multiplayer for me, tis a sham, I was looking forward to some BATTLEFIELD: 4 multiplayer...
But, on the bright side, the games are looking all so wonderful, I think I will be quite entertained, even without online multiplayer!!
The game will have 1 character free and the rest you'll have to buy - it's kind-of-like F2P.
Also Double Helix made super-crap shovelware based off movies. Just saiyan.
