Also I gotta say that the cheers were kind of shy. In the moment they announced that the console had no used games block and no online verification and such, the cheers became strong immediately. I could say Sony ate Microsoft, then pooped it... and then cummed on it only by announcing that.

Now the thing will be the cost. I doubt that the console will have a reachable cost here in south america for people with a normal wage, if they repeat the stratospheric prices they had with the PS3 at the time of its launch and considering our beautiful minimum wages here (~300€/mo).

Yes, this made me happy when I heard it. See...if I own a system ten years down the road, I'd really love to be able to stick the disk in and, well, just have it still work. Stuff like the always-on online and complicated DRM makes me wary to buy things, since I don't know if I'll be able to use it years down the road. Even stuff on Steam used to make me worried, though the fact they assured that they'd make things accessible if the service was going to go down.

The only thing I don't like is you have to pay for PS4 online. I only poke my head online once in a while, I might end up doing zero online on PS4.

Speaking of, the ONLY way that Microsoft can save themselves is if they manage to take on the Steam model and philosophy. Otherwise, their used game policy is going to kill them.

HDD are cheap as hell though. so that should still be 500gb. just microsoft really overcharged on their SSDHD. but now most likely using pc styled ones

Being FORCED to install ALL of your games though and with whatever DLC you may buy, along with updates/patches etc. that's gonna fill up really fast.

Xbox Once can shove it up it's ass. If Microsuck doesn't rethink this (which they won't because they're too stubborn) Xbox One is gonna be a major flop and they're gonna end up losing money over it at the rate this is going. Microsoft losing money? The world is surely coming to an end. I also heard that the whole having to pay extra for used games thing was a Sony conspiracy to try to piss off xbox fans, but uhh... ahhhaha... yeah. Apparently that was just xbox fans in denial of how bad the real thing actually is.
I'm still going to keep my 360 and I'll probably end up getting the Xbox One anyway because I'm stupid but I'm definitely going back to Playstation. That's for damn sure. I honestly don't want to see Microsoft fail and end up dying out because of this. Mainly for the fact that the 360s would become obsolete and with no competition, I fear Sony may become lazy knowing people will just buy their stuff anyway. As for competition, before any Nintendo fans out there have a massive seizure, I heard someone say something which I do kind of agree with. The Wii U isn't a next gen console, it's a current generation console that just happened to come out in time for the real next gen consoles. Or console. It's not supreme. It's not worth dying over. That actually didn't help, did it?
Although Zombi U does look really cool, and I'd probably end up getting one just for that. And that Bayonetta 2 bullshit. Anyway, that's what I think and I stand by it.

Which will in turn cause them to make the same sorts of mistakes Microsoft is making now. Seriously, the only conceivable reason to make such pitiful and rage-inducing decisions as Microsoft has been making with the Xbox One is because they take their sales for granted.

I'm more a Nintendo man myself, but I try to judge the systems based on what they offer, not on who made them. My fandom for Nintendo is more based on their franchises, than their systems. Not to say I haven't liked their recent systems, but I don't think my favorite console of a generation (excluding the upcoming one since it's not totally here yet) has been a Nintendo one since the SNES. The Wii was my favorite of the passing generation for a while, but eventually the novelty of the motion controls wore off, and then the 360 took its place.

Part of that though was because I had high hopes for the motion controls, and how I would feel about them. It eventually got to the point though were I realized that while I enjoy the motion controls as a way to make a game a bit more engaging, I prefer games that don't focus entirely around them, which is why I never ended up taking interest in the Kinect by time it finally released. I found I more enjoyed Wii games that essentially used the motion controls as extra buttons or command inputs, so to speak, to make the experience a bit more physically engaging than just clicking with my thumbs.

I've heard them say the PS4 is going to be $100 less than whatever the Xbox will be. Sony said they'd also throw in a good quality headset and their new motion controls & Playstation Eye with all their consoles.

I've always hated exclusivity agreements and would rather they be made illegal. They are anti-competitive and shitty to gamers everywhere. Let a console stand or fall on its own merits. I think the PS4 will do well even if it was all non exclusive games. Xbox? I think Microsoft shot themselves in the foot big time.

I hope they make KH 3 in ps3 too, cause if not then why they are making the Remix 1.5 and 2.5... WHEN THEY SAY THAT PS4 DO NOT SUPPORT PS3 GAMES!!!!???

Seriously i've been waiting years since KH 2 only to see stupid portable versions of the story that barely adds things to the story and now i need to put my ps3 in the garbage pail just because they are making it for PS4?
