Nintendo! <3

WARNING: A biased journal about Nintendo being better than everyone. Beware! Unless you agree :3 Also, spoilers if you haven't seen Nintendo Direct.
I love Nintendo. They never cease to amaze me x3 They always have a comeback, it's no wonder they always end up on top in the end. To be honest, nothing they showed was very much of a surprise, but I was still filled with joy at seeing it. Naturally I looked forward to seeing Bayonetta 2 and Super Smash Bros WiiU and 3DS, but they delivered all over the board this time around. Say what you will about Nintendo, but they know how to draw gamers in. Old and new.
Bayonetta 2 though, no words can explain how I felt about it. Like, literally...everything that came out was illegible. As with Smash Bros. Bayonetta took a whole new makeover (herself included) and I think it's outstanding. Of course they make sure to show the best parts in trailers but Bayonetta is one of those games that trailers do not do justice. Or all justice; that trailer was a very very satisfying, I watched it about 4 times and may watch it again lol. Also, I know some people are complaining about her hair and such. But I honestly think she still looks amazing. I mean come on, It's Bayo-fricken-netta. That and it'll be way easier to draw the new hairstyle >w>
Smash Bros though... bah! So amazing. They did what they said they would and made it on both the 3DS and WiiU so thats awesome. And it's natural that they would revamp designs of the characters and such but that doesn't mean I can't get excited over it, yeah? I half expected Metroid: Other M to be the design used for Samus but it is amazing to actually see it in game. And they look like move so fluidly <3 So much yes... Also also, Nintendo really doesn't like seeing things go away and I love them for that. Not only did they save Bayonetta from being dropped, they brought classic Megaman from the ashes. Yup, Megaman...on Super Smash Bros. I should write a fan letter to Nintendo one day.
The Super Smash Bros trailer showcased the new graphics, levels, characters and such but aside from that veteran Smash Bros fans would have noticed that it appears that some new moves were even added to some characters. And for them to change a moveset the fourth game into a series, that takes gall and confidence in the game and the fans. Not that I'm complaining at all, but yeah. One thing I'm skeptical about though is the villager from Animal Crossing being a character. Pretty sure he'll be fun, but idk yet. We'll see. Nintendo showed alot more, but those're the ones that I really really looked forward to.
Admittedly, Nintendo didn't really do enough to get people to want the WiiU right at this moment; most games shown were scheduled by the end of this year (or near rather) and next year, so still no reason to get right now. Most people are saying that because of this, Nintendo should use that time to lower their prices on the WiiU. And I say: T~T oh please... the WiiU is (naturally) the cheaper of the 3 next gen consoles, and for all that the WiiU has to offer, I'd say it's worth it. In actuality the WiiU about the same amount as Sony and Microsofts last gen systems so what's the big deal? But back on the subject of Nintendo's line-up. I think it's fine that many if not all of the games I plan on getting are end of the year and next year releases; It gives me time to actually be able to afford a WiiU. So I have time :p
This E3 turned out pretty clear in my opinion. Sony went out on a whim and ended up grabbing alot of attention, Nintendo is playing it safe and steady (as they do) and Microsoft... pretty much dropped the ball. They still have a chance to turn it around but as it is, Nintendo and Sony are the rivals this E3. E3 2013 wasn't the most awe inspiring but it definitely appealed to the fans for the most part. Lots of eye candy this time around.
