This is long over due, this doesn't change how I operate just clarifies for clients my policies ahead of time.

Icons
What you get:
You will recieve a 100x100 gif copy. You may request a copy in a bigger/smaller size or different format (ie: png, jpeg, swf) but I will not share the .fla file under any circumstance (this goes for templates as well).
Revisions:
If I've missed a detail that was present in the reference or written description (ex: character has four horns I only drew two) I will revise if requested.
I will not make changes to an icon once I've finished if the details were not included in the original ref or commission info (ex: markings that were not included in orignal reference or write up)
If you didn't ask for something specific ahead of time, you won't get it after the work is done unless paid extra for my time to revise.
Rights and Redistribution
You may repost the icon to your gallery, I like it when you do, CREDIT WHEN YOU REPOST, with link or username please :> (last edit)
You may use on what ever site you like.
Payment
I take payment up front for icons but only after I have confirmed I will do business with you.
You may back out at any time before I have completed your icon.
I will not send out completed work until full payment has been made.
Illustrations
What you recieve: a large copy and a smaller copy for online posting (the large copy is for your personal enjoyment NOT FOR POSTING)
Revisions:
Rough Sketch - Unless you have given me a reference or clear written description of pose/background you are giving me a certian degree of artistic freedom. After the sketch has been presented major change will accure additional changes (ex complete redraw of character and/or layout)
Flat colour - I am perfectly happy to accept colour changes on characters. I will not revise the lineart at this point.
Character - if there are details missing from your character's ref, let me know about them as early as possible. If specific details (such as character's props, tattos, hair) are not discussed, I retain the right to not add them after the rough sketch has been presented (there is some leyway here ie: small additions)
Rights and Redistribution
You have the right to display the illustration online, but no matter where you do so you must credit and link to me
You may print personal copies, but never for profit or third party use.
You may not alter or edit without my consent.
If you intend to use the illustration for anything but personal enjoyment, that MUST be disclosed before payment is discussed (ex: business, websites)
I retain the right to repost and reuse the illustration for my personal use or portfolio.
Exclusitivity- If you don't want me to repost or use the illustration I may charge extra (depending on scale of illustration)
Payment
I don't take payment until after the rough sketch has been agreed upon. Once it has I take payment in full.
Refunds: You may back out at any time during the sketch stage without charge but you will have no rights to the sketch. You are only entitled to a percentage of the original payment based on work completed (lines 40% refund, flat coloured 20% refund, shading details 0% refund)
I retain the right to back out at any stage, same refund percentages apply.
GIFTING and SELLING (2/11/2014)
If the original recipient (of commission) is giving away their character and wants to include any art I've done of the character with the hand off - THAT IS FINE
If the original recipient is selling their character, you may hand off art I've done with it, you may even sell the commission BUT never for more than what the commissioned art cost originally (ei no turning a profit off my work).
