My endless porn..

I notice folks sometimes comment that just doing porn is something fo a rut. Well, yes.. but.. I like doing it. I have fun with it. Sometimes I do want to do clean stuff.. I want to do so many things. But I don't have time and/or the ability to do them.. I can do porn, tho. so if I want to draw something.. it's mroe than likely going to be porn. Personally I'm under no allusions as to it being 'art'.. or me being an 'artist'. I just, well.. do it. I'm a furry that draws.. as opposed to actual artists who make their living off what they do. if I were pro.. or aspired to be an actual artist type.. I would do things differently. But for now I'm content in trying to get better at what I do.
On another note, I've noticed a few folks out there trying to RP my bunnygirl, BB. Umm.. why? I mean, I made her for me.. what I like. Cute and curvy blonde haired blue furred bunbun. I love drawing her.. She's not a pron star or a famouse personality or anything but my favorite drawing subject. No relationships, backstory, world of her own, etc.. I don't wanna see fursuits of her or hear about her doing this and that on SL or the mucks or any of the crap Max has to go thru with ZZ. Dunno why people would think I'd be flattered or anything like that if that stuff happened. Hmm, wlel, she does have a story.. but it's corny and made up in such a way I can draw her doing whatever I please without having to worry about constraints like canon. Personally i care about what a character looks like.. not their stories or relationships or anything.
Just me babbling.

the one thing i don't like is the whole someone RPing your character.. not cool. your character is your own.. not cool..
i would throw a fuckin' bitch fit if i found out someone took squeak.. she it in all reality based off of me, my build, my hair, my eyes, my big feet, my spine scar.. she really is me.. *minus the teal fur/skin* heh
Sometimes I want to do other stuff.. but the mood usually strikes me when I can't.
as for "just something for folks to get horny to", I bet there are people out there that got horned up by Greek-style statues; like the David. Don't mean it ain't art

As for the whole BB fur suits and avatar's on SL (etc).....yeah that's a bit much.
hell, if i could draw as well as you i'd be drawing porn all the time too!
and RPing? well, lay down the law! Your character, dont use unless you give permission (and emphasize that you dont)
Who cares what 'Joe Shmoe' says you should or shouldn't do. If Joe cares so much, then tell Joe to go do it him/herself since he/she wants to see it so bad. It's not your job to please them.
So don't worry about it, just keep doing what makes you happy. And if anyone complains or has a problem with it, then tell them they don't have to look at it if it bothers them so much.
Just keep doing what you're doing! You're really good!

End of discussion. At least that's my opinion: Anyone who seriously insinuates to an artist that they need to be doing A, B, or C more than Q, would be better served picking up a pencil and doing it themselves.

That's really no different then people who do "clean" work.
And heck, don't people often argue that "art" is something that's trying to say something and make the viewer feel some kind of emotion? I think we're feeling something alright. Wink Wink. Nudge Nudge. Say no more! Say no more!
I never had an issue with anyone playing any of my characters though, heck I can never even get fan art of trades featuring them. :/
You might consider doing the same. Once one's art gets to a certain point, folks start assuming "stuff" about your willingness to do these things (see Spunky's current journal )
BTW, I almost did a "fanart". It was unintentional--something I was drawing recently was strongly reminiscent of your style in an early version before I made some changes to fix some issues :)

I enjoy your artwork, DC. The fact that you draw it for yourself only accents its quality. You can see the natural desire to draw in each piece you put out.
It's nice to have a character you don't need to justify anything with. BustyBunny just does what she does and that's that. :)
Hope you continue to find enjoyment for yourself, and thanks for sharing the many wonderful drawings that you do.
As far as I'm concerned backstory is really just an excuse to get some dramatic creative juices flowing.
As for roleplaying with your character, it can't be helped, I suppose. Someone sees something they like or gives them ideas, and they just fly with it. I do agree, though, that someone wanted a fursuit or SL avatar, they should at least ask out of respect, and then respect your answer.
Other than that, great work, and keep it up. :)
Art, by nature, is subjective. How can anyone possibly define into specific categories of inclusion and exclusion, that which is purely subjective?
Everyone has their own definition of what is and isn't art, and they are all correct. Even though that doesn't necessarily mean that anyone is going to pay for, or even like, something you define as art.
Now that the definition of Art has been made so all encompassing as to be either profound or pointless, let's go enjoy some porn.
I think you ARE an artist and I enjoy what you do.
In the end it only matters that you create because you want to see what it is you do. You're the only one who matters. Everything else is just bunk.
