My paycheck was delayed by my bank on July 5th, supposedly because of the 4th, even though my employer processed direct deposits a day early to try and avoid such problems. As a result, my bank slammed me with three $35 overdraft fees for bills I had set to automatically pay before I found out that there would be a problem. The bank refuses to refund those fees, and I can't afford to be out of that money, as I still have to make rent this month, as well as a few utilities.
