I think its the fact that she doesn't really stand out as a character. She's a little too much like old (mostly S2) RD which people didn't approve of either.

The other characters are liked because they have distinct personalities.

Then why the hell do people like luna when she didn't do that much at all either and I believe shes more overated.

And that's a problem why? After all, unlike the other episodes, THIS particular episode did not focus on the villain, but instead focused more on the Crystal Empire and Twilight's task. The REAL queen chrysalis didn't get that much screen time either.

As far as I am concerned "crystal" and "slaves" are TWO words... If you listen closely he DOES say "ahhhh my glorious little slaves" and "no that is MINE!" Sombra also has a pretty bad ass voice! The voice actor did well.

Just because he failed at his mission to control all didn't mean he didn't DO anything. He still made ALL the ponies shit themselves in fear. King Sombra was more like a terrorist and a dictator than an actual villain that attacks directly. ..... Well, actually he DID attack directly. King Sombra is a Unicorn. Not an Alicorn. For him to have such dark powers beyond any ponies wildest dreams and the ambition and madness of a pony Hitler, I would have to say he was a pretty bad ass villain

I love King Sombra as a character. He did not disappoint me.

King Sombra could have done a SHIT load of damage if given the opportunity! If he got a hold of the Crystal Heart, fear and hated would spread throughout the entire LAND!

Nothing against the other villains.. But Nightmare moon did her part out of jealousy. She didn't want to harm anyone she just wanted to be loved, the only way she thought of doing this was removing the sun from the sky because she felt as though the ponies only loved her sister. so that the ponies would have no CHOICE but to reckon with only her, filling the gap in her heart. She was defeated by the elements of harmony because her heart was too dark to seek truth.

Discord took over PonyVille. Ok. But what about the rest of Equestria? He just wanted to laugh at everyone's pain. It's not that he cause anyone physical harm either, he just found joy in fuckin with some things about their way of life. It was probably more annoying than harmful to all but the main characters. He too was defeated by the elements of harmony because he was too cocky to realize that the powers of friendship were strong. It defeated him and he just sat there because he didn't believe it would work.

Queen Chrysalis attacked Canterlot... Ok? So you attack the only place that has a high class security system? I understand her intentions were to probably get to Celestia because, of course, she dwells in Canterlot. not only that, but her intentions were also feeding her fellow changelings. if she were to bring down Celestia, she would have power over Canterlot.. And THEN all of Equestria!.... That is assuming there wasn't anyone more powerful than even Celestia to bring her down. To be honest HER plan would have worked perfectly if it wasn't for Cadence and Shining Armors love for eachother. She was defeated again because she thought she already won. She too was too arrogant to realize something was going on Right behind her.

King Sombra, on the other hand, took two Alicorns to defeat him in the past. But his lust for power over the entire land of Equestria allowed him to prevail and seek out the Empire once more. He clearly wanted power, he clearly WANTED ponies to suffer both physical and mental torment. He wasn't playing games, he wasn't jealous, he didn't have anyone else to care for... He clearly was evil for the sake of being evil. Which makes him an awesome villain! For some people even are bad just because they are. Notice how King Sombra did what he could to prevent ponies from seeking out the crystal heart. Notice how he is the ONLY villain who was defeated not because of his ignorance or arrogance or because he felt bad. He wasn't defeated because he had his head up his ass

The Flim Flam brothers had an awesome song, all is forgiven for a catchy as hell song!
I don't hate LD, in fact I hope that now that Twilight has wings we'll see more pegasus locations and she'll be back~!

Still, that much hatred on her is just unbearable.

I hope so too.

Though their song was good, I still don't like them for trying to kick the apple family out of their home.
