So, July 24th once again, marking what I’ve come to call my furriversary. The day that I officially decided to be a furry and enter into the fandom. This particular one is rather special, though. Today marks exactly 10 years that I have been a member of this community. Ten years of furry art, furry forums, fursuits, furry chats and IMing with other furs. Hard to believe its really been that long.

This last year has definitely been my most active in the fandom. I’ve always been around a couple furry forums, or on different art sites, or personals sites, or talking with the random furiends I came across on such sites through IM for all this time, but this year I’ve done much more than that. I’ve commissioned lots of art, as most all of you are well aware. :P I’ve also gone to my first conventions this last year in the fandom. Rainfurrest being the first last September, which was such an amazing time that I loved dearly. Followed by Furry Connection North, which was quite a terrible con for me, and Anthrocon earlier this month, which was a ton of fun. Also, have found some rather local furmeets that I’ve been attending, which well, I’m still trying to get a grasp on. Hard for me to meet people and socialize with those I don’t know, and don’t know if they really care to meet me; so still working on getting the furmeet thing down, but some of them have been pretty fun.

Still trying to get myself a fursuit. Was hoping I could have gotten already, but no one is ever open, or if they are, refuses to make my suit. Its quite saddening. But, I hope I can somehow manage to get one done soon…

Made a lot of new friends this last year in the fandom, and got to know old ones even better, which was great. I can just only list so many. And everyone’s probably already like OMG enough of the endless lists!!!!11!11 D:< xD
And of course, getting closer with my wonderful older friends like darkhoof, thejudgedone, darius, vararam, duffy, rabbitman7510, lexi_E_greywinds, blancmark, kosnoss and alyandar. I really really love all you guys and really appreciate your friendship greatly. <3 ;.;

The year wasn’t all good. I spent almost half of it in a pretty deep depression, most of it in some way connected to the fandom. Be it a breakup, seeing people making friends so easily when I couldn’t, or feeling helpless in meeting people and making new friends. But, over the past couple months I’ve finally been able to rise out of it a bit, and I’m definitely happier than I was earlier in 2013.

Anyway, onto the future. This 10 year anniversary year, I plan to attend more cons and more meets. Plan on going to MFF, and perhaps Condition if I can find my passport, giving FCN a second chance next year, going to Great Lakes Fur Con’s first convention next year, and going to AC once again. Also HOPE to get a fursuit. And of course, spend more time with all my wonderful furiends and make even more. <3

Today is a celebration, and I’ll be kicking off this year of furrydom with a free art raffle a bit later. Will probably be posting it once I wake up this afternoon, so look for that. I hope to get lots of people joining. <3
