Oh god, not again.

Just saw the trailer for the Rambo video game coming out this winter. This looks like it's gonna hurt and hurt bad.
First off, it's a movie license game coming out decades after the fact, strike 1.
Secondly, the game trailer focuses on cut scenes more than gameplay footage, meaning one of two things. Either they're ashamed of the product and are trying to hide it behind pre rendered cut scenes or it's this close to a winter release date and they still haven't got the game finished to the point where it's ready for showcasing. Strike 2.
Thirdly, it seems to be a FPS game. While the second and third Rambo movies were very action oriented the first one was more of a stealth survival theme and that theme does continue on through the others even if they added more guns and explosions. Most of the stuff in the trailer is based around the events of First Blood so that makes me think that a Metal Gear Solid 3 style game would be more appropriate. This one isn't exactly clear though so i'm not calling it a strike but it's most definitely a foul ball.
Here's the trailer if anyone wants to lend some commentary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?list=U.....;v=DUwz3TXzLFQ

Honestly in the 2nd movie they have cut something out which was really bad, there was a scene were Rambo is hidden with mud on a tree, it looks like the outside of the tree when he suddenly opens his eyes
That was the only scene of the movies I have always liked until they cut it off
Otherwise you can the Rambo-stuff as countless murdering and stuff like that.......
Also, the Chef if the best! Bork Bork Bork!
as for the use of cutscenes, I thought that was the typical trend these days, show heaps of cutscene and no game play to hide the crappiness.
